I never thought they were a problem. In fact they are firing on all cylinders. Smash, Grab and ginger bollocks.

We could be a real force in this division if only we could sort our problems at the back out. Consistency will go a long way to determining our fate this season. Sort it out Gas.

Just got in from the game and if you think our strikers are ok, well good for you. Don't judge what you see at home games as being the norm away.
Bodin might as well have stayed home today, as in most away games, as might Gaffers. Ellis tried his hardest as usual, but the only stat at risk today was how many we would concede.
Our forward line apart from the first minute, wouldn't have scored in a brothel. But to be fare, the whole team were just awful today. First penalty, Partington stupidly tackling from behind on a player going wide of the goal, second goal, Lockyer gave the freedom of the pitch to their scorer. Third goal, Smith decided to jump over the ball instead of going full length, and the fourth goal was a worldly that only goes in when it doesn't matter.
The second penalty, Smith decided to trip the guy as he went past him.
The truth is that away from home we are set up to defend, when the whole world and his dog can see that we can't. We opened a book on the scaffolding bank, after about 25 minutes, as to what time the subs would enter the fray. Trouble is, we all guessed 60 mins. In fact we were wrong, as it was the 61st minute. And that sums us up altogether. We are just totally predictable, from the manager on down.
This was comfortably our worst performance this season, and until we change by having some sort of game plan, we will remain in a battle to avoid the drop. This was just 90 minutes of headless rubbish.
But please don't think our forward line is as good as you think, coz it isn't.

So who takes the blame because we can't carry on like this can we? The manager? The players?

We all know the elephant in the corner are the undropables, both have been inconsistent this season and that’s why we are ********* let in so many goals.

Desperate for leadership from the top.Statements not forthcoming still,so presume they have no reassurances to give.I feel as if we are drifting as a club with a total lack of direction.Said on TV to-day ,Wimbledon's new build begins in January. Our club is not keeping pace to such an extent that little clubs are leaving us way behind.Sad ,but I will never stop supporting my team even if we end up in the Conference again.Respect the Rose Tinters optimism but it is unfounded I fear.If Wael etc don't intend to get us a new stadium, training ground, invest in the team etc ,they need to tell us and not allow us to drift even further.Sooner or later I fear the EFL will inform us we no longer conform to minimum standards with disabled facilities etc. Really not bothered about the other Bristol team but in truth they are miles ahead. Glad I didn't go to-day but even if we stuff Donny, the silence from above is deafening and very worrying.Tell us Mr Wael, where we stand please.

Surely we all know where we stand - we will spend what we can, as in the Summer, more than most in this League - but we won’t spend what we can’t. It’s widely acknowledged that City’s new Trainng Ground plans are the result of more than 2 years planning & about 20 years investment of over £150m from Steve Lansdown, we are not in that league, nor is any L1 club

I wasnt at the game but im struggling to understand how a team with sercombe, bodin, harrison and gaffney starting is "setting up to defend"? I can understand that. Trouble is we have 9-10 people defending half way back in our half just leaving Ellis up front, and on occasion, Gaffers as well. But at corners, we brought everyone back, even when 3-0 down. DC has no real confidence in our ability to keep the opposition out, so he gives them 75% of the pitch, and every time the opposition have the ball, they are close enough to shoot. But when we attack, it's one or two players against the whole opposition back line. At home, it's almost the complete reverse. That's why away games are becoming bloody hard work to attend, because basically we know what's going to happen as we are so predictable. One of the biggest issues today, and this is also an issue at home, is the lack of movement up front. Players are all static whilst waiting for a pass. The easiest player to defend against is a player who isn't moving. And this is being repeated week after week home and away. What the hell we do in training is beyond me. But if you go and watch the development side, it's continual movement off the ball which results in numerous chances, and why they are doing so well.

I think the whole problem away from home is lack of confidence, which on the pitch looks like lack of effort etc. Not sure how DC can fix it but West Ham and Palace show what a change of manager can do with the same players. January could be make or break for DC.

It will be OK n Saturday at home to Doncaster as I will be attending my forth match of the season and in the previous three we have played superb football.

Pretty much everyone seemed happy that DC played the same side yesterday as we did against Rotherham, now people are saying that was wrong? DC seems to be dammed if he’s does and dammed if he doesn’t. It beggars belief that the same side could play so well against Rotherham and so crap against the Gills! Very bizarre really, or perhaps I’m missing something?

Against southend there was plenty of movement from forward players. Regarding defending deep under dc the style has always been get behind the ball and only seriously press opponents in our half apart from odd matches but maybe were defending deeper away from home?. Our away form and tendency to fold up away from home is undeniable though. Ive watched development matches and weve got some good lads but its difficult to directly compare with league 1 games. I suppose your implying chris hargreaves is getting his team to play in a more productive style than dc?

Our away form and tendency to fold up away from home is undeniable though. Ive watched development matches and weve got some good lads but its difficult to directly compare with league 1 games. I suppose your implying chris hargreaves is getting his team to play in a more productive style than dc? We defend so deep away, that the strikers are almost standing on our fullbacks feet. Yet it's a team on paper able to attack. Southend was better, but even then the strikers are almost always standing still waiting for the ball. Watch them against Donny this week, and you'll see what I mean. It's so easy to defend against. Only Ellis does the job properly, and Billy does but only at home. I agree it's not exact science comparing development games with first team games, for a start there is a lot less hanging on the result,so less pressure. But it's still a game of football, and your last sentence sums it up perfectly. Whilst I don't disagree with much of what DC has stated publically lately, saying what he did seems to me to be him getting his excuses in first.
