This is the first time in a while I've felt this level from Rovers! Who would've thought it would take a drop into the 5th Tier to make this?
Win Saturday and I will believe that the good times will return to our club. I'm right behind Clarke and the lads now.

So strange to think 8 or 9 days ago, Clarke sounded like a man who was potentially on the verge of losing his job. Glad the bloke has been given a chance and is starting to prove himself. There seems a good team spirit and rotating the team appears to have started to pay dividends.

Just goes to show it doesn't really matter what division you are in if you're playing well and winning games. You'll still keep coming back for more. For me anyway!

Good to hear of some positivity!
Waiting for Messrs Higgs & Watola to latch on to it! I hope that they are planning to nurture & take advantage of the increased positivity!!! History suggests that we haven't had too many decent times, and during the rare good times, the board have failed to move forward. This could be their chance!

We beat Nuneaton. Come on guys, theres a long way to go. We have been fortunate in 2 of our 3 recent victories so we are not quite ready to get ahead of ourselves. We have failed to capitalise so many times that I find myself less ready to get excited just yet.

You can only beat what's in front of you.
If you decide you can't get excited about a win because the opposition is poor then you're in for a very unhappy season regardless of where we finish.
I don't care who we are playing, life is always better when Rovers are winning.

Exactly, we have already beaten Wrexham and Halifax who both had 100% away records at the time so we have proved we can beat the better sides too. Its beating the so called smaller teams that has been our downfall in the past all too often so it is just as pleasing for me when we beat the Telford and Nuneaton's of this world.

This is directly related to what I am saying actually. Our win last night, to me is nothing to get excited about. However, if we were on the run in to the end of the season and were 3 points clear of 2nd place it would be somewhat different. It doesn't have to be so polar Hugo. We are allowed to voice up right? I am pleased for all of you that are feeling positive right now but only 2 weeks ago it was miserable. So I am holding my energy for when it is safer. If you would prefer people to only join debates to agree and go along with the consensus thats fine by me.

I have never suggested people are not allowed to voice up as you put it. That's a very cheap shot and honestly saddens me that you may think that. Your view is different to mine. Neither more right than the other. For what its worth I am not on any promotion bus and agree that its way to early to get carried away with anything. 3 wins isn't even a run of form imo. 6 or 7 games of mostly wins and some draws is a good run. However, to seemingly gain no enjoyment whatsoever from a win however poor opposition the just seems a shame.

Sorry for the apparent cheap shot. I was just voicing an honest opinion and understand that any hint of negativity (realism) on a positive thread will be challenged unproportionally. Likewise vice versa. Not excited does not equal "no enjoyment whatsoever". You see what you did mate?

Not that I really want to go to town on it but the OP suggests that a win saturday will see the good times return to the club. Now if you want to get on my case due to applying brakes prior to questioning that wild suggestion be my guest!!! lol

We have failed to capitalise so many times that I find myself less ready to get excited just yet. And we were unlucky against Braintree, with a penalty against us for no reason and the equaliser chalked off for an onside goal labelled offside. Yet still DC and the team got slated. We started poorly, failing to win any of our first 3 games, and people wanted Clarke out. So when we have picked up 16 points from the previous 7 games (form that would win the league), isn't it well balanced to get excited and to give credit? Football games often involve luck, one way or the other. Anyone can beat anyone in this league (Barnet beat us, Wrexham beat Barnet, we beat Wrexham), the standard isn't great. I understand the sceptisism after recent years, but if you can't enjoy the few good times yet let the bad ones get you down, I feel for your enjoyment as a football fan. Honestly, if we had a manager that you believed in a lot more and like a lot more, would you be happier about last nights result and recent form? Just my 2 cents...

Seems a bit of a storm in a teacup to me.
I hope Simon does come back. Always tried to offer balance when the vast majority of threads last season, rightly or wrongly, was negative. Been to nearly all the FFS get togethers I think too.
Also, what's happened to dinsdale?

Toys out of pram spring to mind but can't say I'm surprised.
Shame though.

Totally agree, I went to Wolves v Norwich at the beginning of the season with a friend and both our kids. He is a devout Wolves fan but watches Rovers with me on occasions. They gave out free flags for the kids and on the flag it said OUR LOVE KNOWS NO DIVISION. I thought this would have been great for ROVERS to copy.
