It's all Clarke's fault. Sack him now.

Southstand hut was terrible yesterday, staff useless, waited for 25 minutes for 15 people in front of me! Agency staff and appear unconcerned! Food rubbish and coke machine did not work! We must be the one of the poorest food services in the football industry (non-league)I remember Eastleigh and one hut served over a thousand gasheads in no time at all! Someone needs to answer for this!

This morning at th tills in Tesco. I was behind an old lady in th queue. Her bill came ta £56.83 but when she counted out all her change she only had just under £50.
I thought she was probably someone’s Nan an I’d like ta think someone would have helped my Nan out in th same position especially at Christmas. She didn’t want me ta help her but I insisted, and in no time at all we had all her shopping back on th shelves.

Thought I'd give a bit of credit for the service today given that I've previously been critical.... West enclosure halftime beer and food queues were quickly delt with, I noticed the drinks being lined up well in advance and there were 3 guys working it. My partners mum got a pie after queueing for less than 2 mins.... Actually really enjoyed today's experience

Never ever had a problem with the food at the Mem. For those who turn up at 2:55 - get there earlier

Don't think the food can be worst than the football can it? Marginally. Waited for 10 minutes to be told they had piglet sausage rolls, however they had not warmed them up and come back in 20 minutes, this was at ten to three. Surely someone would have noticed they had a product which needed warming up before three o clock. Doh.

I went to the bar behind the blackthorn at ht and they’d shut the doors the bouncer said too many in there so I waited by the door for him to let some out thinking once he’d let a load out he’d let me in. I stood there for about 5 minutes while he let about 50 to maybe 100 out but he still didn’t let me in. surely if he had to shut the door and let that many out then he shouldn’t have let that many in the first place !!!

There were hot sausage rolls available earlier I thought.

I think they need to look at other suppliers because they clearly can't cope with the demands of a well attended football fixture.
Is it that hard to keep another van out the back somewhere with just ovens and heaters in to keep stock up? There's so much food that presumably goes to waste after each game because they are cooking stuff at totally the wrong times. I've seen them put frozen stuff in the oven at half time before, it's completely pointless.

Im sure this ties in with an earlier thread where someone at the club mentioned that they believe we all waited for the £1 pasties at the end of the game, when i get to a game i always buy a meal deal as it money to the club, but if it's keeps up like this i will get a clarks from the chippy before hand

Not that I can get to upset about this.
But...
Yesterday before the game, there were no sausage rolls available and was told to wait 20 minutes. Now I'm no genius but I don't see why people running the huts couldn't put more sausage rolls in the oven when they have 20 or something left of the current stock.
Youd think by now, the food huts managers would work out how many they sell, before and during games.
Nothing to do with the supplier, it is the staff not being proactive putting food in the oven quick enough.

Couldn't get down to Bristol yesterday so went and watched Eastbourne Borough v Gloucester City in the 6th tier. Best chips I've ever had at a footy match, piping hot and the club bar is twice the size of the BRSC bar at the Mem, with 4 x TV screens, good choice of beers, plenty of seats and tables. Plus, the huts around the ground serve hot Bovril. If a club in the National League South can do it, surely we can. Okay, there were less than 500 there, but it's just a matter of scale. Professional caterers should have food ready on time and in sufficient quantities.

Went to get something to eat from the main hut in Blackthorn end about 8 mins before kick off today only to find they had sold out of pies etc. I asked if there would be anymore and was told not until half time. During the first half i overheard many people complaining there was no hot food. I also heard people saying the staff (About five of them) were stood doing nothing because they had nothing to do, apart from not seeming to give a s*it and saying they were not allowed to put the pies etc in the warmers until half time. So i go to the hut at half time only to have to wait as they were not ready, i complained to the supervisor and manager but again they did not really give a sh*t. Surely it is not that hard to time it so the food is ready and waiting and also to have it available throughout the game. Just pis*ed off surely in this day and age we should expect something better, also must be costing club revenue as i heard a lot of people say they could shove it now. Utg ! Eat BEFORE you go, end of problem. Once most do this then maybe it will improve. Never known it happen in the west stand but very long queues mean many miss 5 or more minutes of football, at half time. It’s really no big deal and the chippy is cheaper & fresher, by far

A lot could be learned from a visit there
