How would you describe our style of play. For me we play the diagonal ball too often and don't try and play pretty football enough.
Hopefully after January we will have more options especially out wide and we can try and play football more in general.

The best and most entertaining football ive seen since 2000 is what dc has brought imo. In the conference it was not always pretty but usually effective but the league 2 season and last season at home we played football in a style i love. At our best under dc we have played a nice blend of short passing and long balls into the channels or spaces. Dc prefers his teams to get behind the ball and only really press in our own half and likes us to break very quickly when opponents lose the ball,a style well suited to matty taylor. Things have not gone to plan this season so im prepared to accept ugly wins or draws to ensure survival because of the situation.

When we are on form and able to dictate play we generally play quite a good style of football. I certainly think we are less deliberately direct than we were back in the twerton days where it was very much lump it forward to Devon White, Christian McLean, John Taylor or Gareth Taylor and then play from there. The problem arises when the opposition formation is more affective than ours leaving us less space to play or pressing our defenders to knock if forward early. There has also been a big confidence issue this season, this leads players to hide a little bit, not create angles for short passes and again leave the keeper and back four little option than to go long or knock it in to channels. At least DC doesn't do an Arsene Wenger and moan that teams don't play against us in a style that allows us to be at our most effective!!!

This season I’d describe it as John ward style.

Tends to be long ball at the moment as we are too narrow to play with width - bring on January and some wingers - then gung ho will look good again.

Generally we play better football on better pitches. The Mem pitch over the last couple of seasons (until this season) has been excellent and contributed to more entertaining football.
This season though, aside from the pitch, we have become a bit too predictable as we don't have the formation flexibility of previous seasons.

we are very restricted how we can play without any decent wingers and no real direct pace so DC's game of defending in numbers and breaking quick just is not working this season. Hope January sorts this out because 26-28 points are not going to come easy.

We are normally restricted to Browner and Bola / Leads launching aimless balls from near the half way line into the box, and when Sincs plays, although we all like the fella, he is simply unable to pass the ball forward; so then rely on even more of a longer game, in fact we totally rely on a long ball game with the occasional Hollywood ball from Linsey. Which hopefully will-all change when our four new recruits arrive in January. hmm lets hope.

I call his current style of play 'As good as it can be given the circumstances'. Gambled on releasing a winger for a better one that didn't come in, so we have had to play a more direct style of football than what even DC probably isn't happy with.
But this IMO is the most important transfer window under his tenure because we have a lot of deadwood (Who I can't thank enough for getting us back to where we are today) which DC has already identified and will be out, but has pleaded to be backed by the board to get the quality players we need to progress.
We finally see if the Family and Hamer will back DC or whether it really is just a show. I prey it's the first.

Probably a couple of players on loan. If Bodin goes then I would be very concerned.

Our style of play has changed since Taylors departure. Now we seem, and I dont know why, to play more hoof ball mainly the hoof has come from Lockyer who is crap at it, last Saturday he hoofed 8 balls upfield 6 went no where near a Gas player, 1 went near but over Harrisons head and 1 went straight into touch. He attemps long diagonal passes which would be more sucessfull if given to Lines to do (or anyone else).
