They are not developing the training ground They have no money and if they did they are not spending it.

Short but sweet statement.
Good to know things are still progressing with the Colony project and I for one appreciate the club communicating with us on this, although it wont be good enough for some no doubt.
Really looking forward to seeing the design once it has been submitted for planning approval.

Wow, a positive update! I have to admit that I was starting to doubt that we would see any positive moves on this until at least the summer, but they've proved me wrong which is great. Over to the developers to come up with a sound plan, although I expect they'll be very much required to stay strictly within the budget, which if they're good planners they should.

Cheltenham Ladies College Sports Centre Value: 5 million The project provided new state of the art indoor tennis/netball facilities, replacement squash courts and a new pavilion/multi-purpose space along with enhanced facilities such as changing rooms and offices. Evans Jones provided a full service from Planning Consultancy, through to Project Management. www.evansjones.co.uk/case-studies/cheltenham-ladies-college-sports-centre.php

Yet further proof that the Al Qadi family are in it for the long haul and will provide investment in the club where it is needed.
I look forward to seeing the plans when they are submitted.

I look forward to seeing the plans when they are submitted. I agree with your sentiment, but in all honesty I'm at a stage as a gashead where I think it unlikely that I'll get exited about plans alone as we've seen various plans over the years, and plans is all they ever were.... Please just build something FFS....

Yes, good news. I will be interested to see the scope and range of the planning application. I’m pleased to see something happening at last although I’m sure others will be questioning it. I guess there’s a difference between plans for something and it being finally delivered but seeing something will be better than having nothing! UTG!

I think most of us would agree with you on that and whilst I'm looking forward to the plans, I won't be getting too excited until I see something concrete (literally).
This is the first project that has been created and will hopefully be implemented by the Al Qadi's, so despite all the years of disappointment I will be willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.
