I wonder whether there is any chance of getting David Wheeler off QPR. I know he only signed for them in August but he's only made 9 appearances and 5 of those were as a substitute in the last 15 minutes. He was also taken off in all 4 matches he did start. Unless he's suffered with a lot of injuries that would suggest he's not making the grade and at 27 he should be in his prime. He was signed for an undisclosed fee throught to be 400-500k so would probably cost 300k+ but if he is surplus to requirements Holloway might do us a favour. Failing that maybe they'd let him out on loan. Assuming he was happy in Exeter then he might also be open to a move back to the south west. It would be great (loan surely only realistic) - just got the feeling that QPR's squad isn't big enough though to allow a move (even a loan)- he has been on the bench a lot even if he hasn't played many mins. Even if available he's not going to give up Championship wages to come to us.

I wonder what clubs are going to watch him. You would like to think we send out a few of our staff to some of the lower league fixtures this weekend. I'm sure DC, Marcus, Hargreaves etc will be out watching games, or at least I'd hope so. I'm hoping we are one of the clubs interested in Allassani, but then again, I was hoping we were interested when he was on a free in the summer and when he initially joined Dulwich on a non-contract contract basis too!
This is the biggest problem for me; we have nobody who seemingly unearths these talents from lower levels.
From what I can see we go for players (far too late imo) along with 10+ other clubs, then moan that they decide to go elsewhere like DC does a lot.
You have to have the manpower and the balls to scout these players and offer them a deal at a time when Bristol Rovers are an attractive proposition.

I doubt it, he won't struggle there and will more likely move on for millions like Washington, Gayle and all the other gems they pick up from non-league.
