Just heard from a good source, that the current holder of the No9 football shirt could have played his last game for the Gas. I have been lead to understand that the players name is no longer to be ironed onto any of our kits. This player was observed leaving the Mem before Tuesdays game after finding his name was not on the squad sheet.

Sky are reporting about Brunt being lined up for a loan move away but he did stay to watch our game on Tuesday night. He may have left for food or to take his boots home but he watched his team-mates in action.
It's probably in his and our best interests for him to go out and play some games. I wouldn't put him ahead of Taylor or Cunnington and with Harrison performing so well off the bench I wouldn't choose to put him on from the bench either. I like Brunty and sincerely hope he can regain full fitness and suffer from no further knee problems to relaunch his career. He was great for us when he first signed and I had high hopes for him last season but it just wasn't to be with injuries and the like.
With Ryan leaving it may free up enough wages for us to push on and sign the right winger/striker that DC wants.

A loan would suit all parties.

He watched the whole game from Box 16 Certainly didn't leave !! Info gleaned from the other forum - once the team has been announced, one of the non-selected players goes out to get some healthy grub for those who won't be taking part in the match. Last year this was mainly done by Ellis and Alefe, this year it has been Brunty. This explains a lot of those "I saw xxx driving away from the ground after he found he wasn't playing" stories.

Thanks for sharing. that explains a lot. Hope Brunty gets back to his best soon with us or on loan.

I can confirm I saw him driving up Wellington Hill West about 22:00 in his jag, so another stirring rumour goes down the pan

As I assume it was around that time that someone spotted him getting bang on it at a random bar, slagging of DC and waving his willy around in circles?

Brunty obviously decided to stop the rumours before they even got started on Saturday - via Twitter. Like his sense of humour. Ryan Brunt @bruntyy · Sep 20

Who starts these rumours? My all time favourite still has to be "dunfords up the welly getting watered on the helpline money".
