Our of interest- where do we reckon DC is today? No idea but perhaps at Yeovil to see how Bradford set up away from home. UTG!

Has anyone else noticed that this window there have been almost no rumours? Is this the ALQs keeping things under wraps better than the previous board? Seeing as we don't have much communication on anything else I would presume this is the case rather than nothing going on. Exactly my thoughts. I thought those who walked the corridors of power might know something.......goes to show He who has a secret, must keep it secret that he has a secret to keep - Francis Bacon.

I have a sneaky feeling we’re close on a couple. As most things get on Monday- I reckon then. Wael said to me not to expect anything before Blackpool unless a deal happens quicker than they think but definitely by Bradford home game.

DC specifically says 2/3 to come in during this short break we have, now it's going to be longer? I know it's better to be patient and wait for the right players, but we said this in the summer when we dragged our heels and ended up running out of time and not bringing in the 2/3 players DC said he wanted after signing Broadbent.

I can see the ‘undisclosed fee’ thing from the club’s point of view, tbf. Not sure what any club gains out of publicising exactly how much they received for a player or spent on a player, other than the fans enjoying it? Other clubs then get an idea that certain clubs have more money to spend and then subsequently inflate prices, as they did under NH. I think this is the real reason, at least at our level as you don’t see undisclosed in the prem and mostly not in the championship

Suprised Wael would mention names. If true, i expect some to be disappointed with that Would Wael really name names unless it was over the line? I did see a Masaratti driving up towards Gloucester Road Just now with the number plate CRY 9 and wondered to myself if footballers at this level can afford those kind of cars.. Maserati is not expensive given their history. You can pick up a quatrroporte or GT for less than 20K if you buy used. I know not football related but just the sort of car I’d expect a lower league player to drive.

We know what positions are needed and we've had months to target players and get deals lined up. I thought things would be ready to announce now.

This is another huge error and only adds to the mistrust building up against the owners.I was going to say DC and Wael are not singing off the same hymn sheet, but Dam hell it seems this is going to be a long 3 weeks.

I’d be delighted if we signed him. He is just the sort of player we need, can supply our strikers but also go it alone. Sadly I can see higher up clubs looking at him though

Shawn McCoulsky who just scored the winner for Newport (on loan from City) looks a good prospect and the type of player we could do with. Can't see them selling him to us though!

Would be interesting to know what's going on behind the scenes. Not sure how the managerial situation up here at Stoke could affect their two loanees but don't see the point in keeping Telford as DC clearly doesn't rate him.Our squad is painfully slim so the potential 'OUTS' can't go until we get replacements.Lots of our development squad are rightly out on loan to gain competitive experience but reckon Nichols and Byron Moore have been poor signings and personally would farm out.Moore's contract expires at the end of this season and freeing up wages will be a vital factor in who we can sign.

There's no way DC will give up on Nichols anytime soon and would be astonished if someone who features in most matches will be allowed out on loan. Moore must surely know his time at Rovers will end in June. We can't just 'farm him out', he'd have to agree. I suspect if DC told him wasn't wanted he would hold out or ask for his contract to be paid up rather than go somewhere he didn't fancy?

The first three you mentioned are likely to be his priority, I must admit to being surprised by the centre back as I would have thought it was one position we have numbers for already unless he wants a replacement for Burn. We may have numbers there (unless Lockyer goes this month?), but I’m not sure we have much quality there. Lockyer has been poor for 85+% of the season, same for Sweeney, Broadbent has been up and down and is very inexperienced, and Menayese is a development player really. I’d like to see us add another CB, personally. James Clarke is back soon

Like him at RB, though.
