We're quick to moan so just wanted to say a quick well done to the board and DC for getting things tied up over the past few days. It is the big lift that was needed after Billy Bodin leaving with Tom Broadbent signing a new deal, Tom Lockyer signing a new deal and Bernard Mensah looking a promising signing. Maybe we are learning from our mistakes as regards to tieing up our valuable players ASAP.
So credit where credit is due. I think the Wigan game being called off has actually helped us by buying some time to sort ourselves out.

Agreed.
DC’s interview today just highlighted how much more difficult it is to sign (sought-after) players than any of us can really imagine.
Been chasing a player for over 2 weeks to replace Bodin -> deal all agreed and move ready to go through today -> player pulls out at 8:30pm last night -> DC has now lost over a week of the transfer window and has to move onto plan B.
Must be infuriating sometimes! Great start to the window today though, and would be delighted with 3 more permanents before Feb.

Really good stuff this week. People are working so hard behind the scenes for our club.
Hopefully we can get those 4 players in that will help build us into a league 1 promotion contender.

Too many live in a dream world and think you can just sign any player you want like on their stupid computer games.

Fair play GGMI, my thoughts also. I have to be honest that some of the backtracking over the extent of the training ground, and the bizarre UWE announcement, did disappoint me greatly, and I felt the board made themselves look pretty stupid. However, Bernard Mensah signing is a big positive, and with the PMs now appointed for the training ground, hopefully we and I myself can build some more trust in the board, as I do like Wael and I really want them to succeed, and to prove my doubts unfounded. Onwards and upwards!

We've signed a (hopefully) good prospect from the National League and all is well with the world.
We really do get what we deserve don't we.

DC latest interview certainly easier to listen to than ones recently.
The player brought into today seems to be fairly rated and at 23 he still has lots to prove and make a name for himself. Best of luck to him.
Hopefully DC can bring in 3 more permanent that he wants. I am glad this is our approach and want, we can't keep relying on loans to temporarily bail us out the sh** if we want to progress. Thankfully DC recognises we need to bring a core of our own players, bring them together and build that way.

Just ignore giving new contracts to both Tom's then and the fact this business has been done in a timely manner. Of course acknowledging that wouldn't fit your agenda though would it.

However there has been a lot of stick of the club becuase of contracts and no transfer business (some even disappointed in the lack of transfer rumours) but the club has gone about its business quietly and relatively efficiently and all bar a last minute pull oit we would have had 2 new players to add to tieing down 2 of our players. So perhaps they deserve a little bit of credit for backing the manager

We've all been on the sauce at some point.

The Mensah signing is a good start BUT we need to bring at least 1 Waitrose signing in. Another winger, a dominant DCM and a brute of a striker would do for me. DC looked very calm and in a good place so hopefully he got some cash to spend.

Who would you like us to sign? 2 players also signed improved contracts yesterday. What were you seriously expecting?

Anyone would've thought we've signed Messi from barca
Anyway welcome sir Bernard Mensah now do the business
At least 3 more signings needed big strong central defender who can organise
A winger who can beat a man then cross the ball
A big awkward centre forward who can hold the ball up and bully defenders
Then I think you will see the best of the rest like sercombe,Nichols, lines,Ellis and Lockyer
