If they decide to move it to Filton we should jump on the back of it, have a fully retractable roof, good location and better than a re painted Mem!

They're considering putting it into one of the existing disused hangars, so no chance of that....

Don't really know what the ambition of the owners are, all we here is "evolution not revolution" - what do we aim to become?
I said that i would give the owners til end of Jan back in December to show their hand. Currently we sold our best player and signed an exciting non league player (who i think is a good signing).
I think UWE was dead long ago, training ground there are yet to be any visual plans. Im struggling to believe that anything will drastically change, enough to believe they would not be looking at other sites in Bristol - the land you talk of would be a great loction.

Only one problem for Bristol City Council. It’s not in Bristol.

If the council are dead set on moving the Arena (which is a mistake in my opinion) why don't we look at the arena site?
It has great transport links and is walkable from my house. Not that many pubs around, but they'll soon open and best of all its walkable from my house.
In all seriousness the council will need someone to take on the site.

Barely bigger than the Mem site, but the wrong shape.

It would be ok if we filled in that muddy ditch at the side.

What Antiono's plan shows is that you could get a stadium on the site. I am in agreement with tommym9 we should at least explore the possibility. One Stand could overhang the cut (Fulham FC Style)as it takes no floating traffic at that point. Lets be honest a Mem redevelopment while we are still playing there would be a difficult, take longer & likely be more expensive. At the very least ask the question.

Pitch prone to dampness, I'd say.

Roy Redman explored this idea when he was on the Board at Rovers Would that have been before or after the Carsons Road application? Presumably there were financial and practical issues that meant it didn't get far.

Barely bigger than the Mem site, but the wrong shape. What this does show though is that a new stadium would be big enough as an arena as well . However the arena has to be very near the city centre . The higher the population of an area the more leisure type things it has ,making the city centre have more homes is the way to improve facilities for the people. It becomes more attractive to business having more walk up customers available. The UWE site did have the bonus of not being far as the crow flies from the former Eastville stadium site , The Mem stadium and in the locale of where the Purdown poachers kicked about. Having Rovers play south of the river though...shudders.Might as well share ashton gate.
