If she was a true fan she'd drive from a lot further away than Wiltshire (maybe go via Leeds). And buy two tickets.
Seriously, though, great story.

“I couldn’t stomach it,” she says when I mentioned City’s recent win against Manchester United.
“Bristol City is a dirty word,” she says with a laugh.
Classic! What an amazing Lady.

I was thinking that she'd definitely be worthy of a minute's applause when she eventually leaves us. Then I realised that if we were to do it during the match minute corresponding with the age at departure in the traditional fashion, then we'd need a heck of a lot of added time! That was a really good read, and unusually substantial for the Post. I loved the mention of traveling to games via steam train. What an awesome lady.

An absolutely marvelous lady who sits ìmmediately behind me in the west stand. The joy on her face when we scored the winner against Portsmouth showed her devotion to the club.A really true gashead.

Actually, when you think about it, she was nearly a pensioner when the Tote End as a group of fans began (she would have been 53 or 54 in 1967) and look what has happened to the club in the intervening period! I was in my 3rd year at "senior" school and reach retirement age this year but she makes me feel like a youngster. Unlike some centenarians, she does not look her age. She is is definitely very compos mentis: Her humour is sooooo Bristol Rovers: I love the bit about her not liking the ted's win against Manure Relating her to the True Blue Trudies (who remembers them?), she is of an age where she would have been one in the 1950s! What a woman!

I love the bit where she's disappointed it's not as raucous as it used to be.

Saw her flicking the V's to the Pompey lot last home game, fully clad in stone island gear.
