He’s made two sub appearances and then a start today and already got three goals. I think his minutes per goal is around 40odd. Great start for the lad.

Scored 2 today. Surprised it's not been mentioned. With him and mayo getting good game time it's a real positive National league init, only crap teams end up playing in that. Oh wait a minute............. Your right. Or big league clubs that are run in to the ground by terrible owners with their heads up their arses. Good he’s doing well. I liked the look of him in our pre season friendlies the last two years.

Like ive always said, rather he was on the bench than wasters like Moore and other teams players like Telford I think we’ve seen the last of Moore even on the bench with our new signings. Better Broom and Menayese are out getting some experience than sitting on the bench and not getting a chance to come on. Agree with your sentiment though.

Bernard Mensah 4 goals in 14 games this season, Ryan Broom 3 goals in 1 full game/2 part games, add in the goal he cost BM yesterday and it's all square already! Which it begs the question why Broom wasn't given more game time here when we've been crying out for a winger for months.

Early days for both, but Few would disagree that this loan move was what Ryan Broom needed at this stage of his development. Most welcomed the Mensah signing as he looks a player with plenty of promise. On very limited evidence, why use Broom's good form to trash a player who hasn't even played half an hour yet for the Gas? They may well both be a big part of our future plans.

Took his 2nd goal really well - chipped the keeper. If you go on Eastleigh's website you can view the highlights - looked a cracking game.

I certainly hope Broom does enough to win a new contract next year (so far so good)and can see no point in keeping Moore now we have 3 others who can play wide-roles. Certainly looks like plenty of competition for central defense next season as well. Priority in the summer must now be a a strong defensive midfielder.

Like ive always said, rather he was on the bench than wasters like Moore and other teams players like Telford I don't think it's fair to call Moore a waster. It is what it is; DC signed him knowing what he was like. He could hardly have been expected to suddenly set the world on fire because he had been signed by Bristol Rovers. Likewise Telford. We can't really pass comment on his ability as a football player as we've never had a chance to assess him. I doubt he turned up from Stoke then said to DC "Actually gaffer, if it's all the same to you I'd prefer it if you left me on the bench and gave me injury time every 10 games or so. I don't mind turning out in a couple of development games, should be able to bang in a goal or two, that's all I ever get at Stoke"

About Broom, I've always felt that a player as versatile as him could very well play both as a proper winger, on the right, or cutting inside from the left. He has the pace to do so, if he refined his technique a bit he'd be more dynamic and a real presence down the flanks.
Certainly would take him over Moore any day.

Agree, sadly, about Moore. Always thought he had something but it never happened for him here. If/when he goes I wish him all the best for the future

Criticizing Moore is fair game, but some of you take it way too personally... his only "crime" was not being good enough, he never actively hurted us (like, say, skipping training sessions or affronting fans) and tbh he was never supposed to be our 1st choice winger. He's marginally fast and his game is one-dimensional. That's it, and if he does leave, all the best to him, because any player that contributes to keep this amazing team spirit/cohesion we have deserves a fair shout IMO.

Maybe there is more to come from moore ? In the development games that he has played in he has made some good passes although mainly shadowed and blocked rather than tackled ,but maybe that's to avoid injury or not clatter an opposition kid. He has not ever appeared to be in a mood about playing with the youngsters (as far as I have seen) so has acted very professionally .
It may be he needs to drop down a few levels to get more self belief ? maybe a loan spell might do him good ? maybe a change of positions on the pitch ?
He (Byron) certainly has not done anything to warrant the abusive comments he gets .
As for Broom ,well done so far lets hope it continues.
