Have to say our defence were fantastic today, especially Broadbent and Partington. So have we now found our best back four? I'd certainly want it to be unchanged for Doncaster away next Saturday, prefer Bola and Broadbent over Brown and Sweeney.

Expect Sweeney and Lockyer back for Doncaster, DC likes to play Sweeney away for some reason

I still prefer brown to Bolla personally.. I wouldn’t leave a fit Leadbitter out either tbh. Broadbent is looking like the key man in the middle tho

However, I thought Partington is too slow at RB sometimes and gets turned too easily. Also, Bola is a threat but very naive at times. The 2 Tom's are forming a really decent partnership at the moment.

Bola will have to do for this season but I'd like to see a new LB probably in the summer (and not a loan).

Wonder how this result will affect any potential loan signings? Will we not treat it as urgent following our unbeaten run or will we still have the same targets? Think we need a goalscorer up front and would ship out Moore and Nichols although know that would be un-likely.We persisted with Luke James for far too long and he's now at Barrow.Great to see Broadbean and Parts doing so well.Like them Great signings both. Roll on Donny.Funny old season. No cup runs,no major moves re desperately needed infrastructure and unlikely to feature in the play-offs but when you win as well as we did to-day with our wafer thin squad, then that's all that matters.

Thought Bola offered a lot personally. Better going forward, but generally got stuck in and did what he needed to. Broadbent was excellent. Also think the midfield did their defensive job really well today. Ollie especially

Partington got turned inside out several times by the little winger today, but he isn't a fullback anyway. But will become one of our best players. Bola seems to have drifted somewhat. He's ok but his distribution can be poor. He also took ages to get back in position after attacking down the wing.
Problems arise when two many are played out of position. Not to mention Lines who contributes nothing. But quite rightly Gaffney was taken off today. One of his poorest games today I felt.
But the others really came to the fore today. Sercombe really is a class act. Had to laugh with Mensa. He went mental when the third goal went in. There will be no shortage of banter with him in the changing room.

The 2 Tom's are forming a really decent partnership at the moment. I'm a big fan of Partington and thought he dealt with Robinson well today, who was one of Bradford's better players. Puts in a great cross too and has been far more consistent than Leadbitter this season. I'm 50/50 on Brown or Bola, who is definitely more of a threat as you say, played a lovely pass to Gaffney last week and if we aren't playing with Wingers, its good to have a bit of width further up the pitch.
As for the CB's, DC surely can't change that after today. It's nice to have options though and who'd have thought we would be talking up the defence this much earlier on in the season UTG

Lockyer and Broadbent the best two CB's at the moment. I prefer Leadbetter to Parts at right back to add a bit of pace - both for defensive and attacking reasons. Worried he's becoming injury prone though. At left back I've always been keen to see a bit more of Bola but thought he was poor today. First half especially his distribution was very poor, the wild slice into the dry build and an overhit hooked pass sailing into to touch on the opposite wing spring to mind. Most worrying was a clear lack of desire to sprint back into position when Bradford broke, a couple of times I watched him just ambling back. At least give the impression of being interested!

Very much so and the crowd sang "Chrissy Lines he's one of our own..." Don't think that would have happened if he'd contributed nothing.

Was Locks OK at the end? Sounded like a nasty knock on the radio.

Chris Lines played well today, along with the rest of the team, i would ignore gasinsider`s comments, it`s pretty obvious he takes every opportunity to tell us .... he creates nothing, better playing with 10 men, can`t head, pass, tackle, methinks mr lines has upset him.

Most players played well today. I thought Bola got better and better as the game went on as did Sinclair who has been excellent in the last two home games. For all Leadbitters pace he lacks the class of Partington.IMO

His final ball let him down more than normal but it was a 6 out of 10 performance nothing more nothing less I think.
