Nothing will inspire people to travel more than a couple of new signings, if we were to sign 2 new players this week you could add a couple hundred more to that number

Tough place to go and get a result. A draw keeps the unbeaten run going and shows consistency but we need to be getting more than that if play offs are realistic objective. Doncaster on a wobble - Furguson under pressure - 3 draws in their last 3 league games. Think we will get at least a point COYB

Any suggested pubs apart from the one on the complex near the ground? As the stadium is on the outskirts of town, then there is not much choice in the way of pubs. There is though the Lakeside, a Beefeater outlet near Stadium Way (you should catch sight of it, if you drive towards the stadium from Junction 3 of the M18). Chris Parkes a visiting Nottingham Forest supporter informs me; 'I had no problems with getting a drink in the Lakeside Beefeater, in fact there were more Forest fans in there than home fans before the game. We were also allowed in after the game for a pint or two while the traffic cleared.' The pub also has a separate restaurant section. Whilst David Rose adds; 'There is a bar in the bowling alley next to the Vue Cinema, which is situated on the other side of the lake'. Dave a Norwich City fan tells me; 'There is the Belle Vue bar at the stadium itself, which we were allowed to go into. It does get very busy in the hour up to kick off but if you get in early, as we did, you should be okay. The bar has plenty of seating, as well as an organised queuing system to avoid the normal bustle at the bar'. The bar also has large television screens showing televised football.' Alcohol is also available inside the stadium, including Carlsberg at £3 a bottle. Ian Dutton a visiting Wigan Athletic fan adds; 'If going by train then in the town centre there is an excellent pub called the Cask Corner. It is a fantastic pub which is about a ten 10 minute walk from railway station. It serves a number of real ales and ciders. It doesn't offer food but you are allowed to bring in your own. The pub was so good that I nearly missed the kick off!' This pub which is listed in the CAMRA Good Beer Guide is located on Cleveland Street. Also near to the station is the 'Railway pub' on West Street, which is also popular with visiting fans.

Not sure if it will affect things but Doncaster have a decent horse race meeting on Saturday. The last race is at 4.20pm so likely to affect traffic after if anything. Oh and maybe the pubs will be busy earlier!

Their match with Scunthorpe is going to be a real test for them before playing us.

I am taking my 80 year old Father-in-law up for a jolly, he is from the area and supported Doncaster as a kid. He has been a season ticket holder at the GAS for several years, mixed emotions for him at the game but he thought we were robbed at the Memorial stadium a few weeks ago. Driving up on the Friday and making a weekend of it, so come on the GAS.
