Got some ability about him but to weak and slow for my personal liking, he’s better in the middle for sure but I really want someone much more physical for that position You would like to think that James Clarke should be close to full fitness now? That would give us another option in that department. I like to think Leadbitter isn’t far off, his injury didn’t look that bad at Walsall, he walked off without much help??

We were a bit weak at fullbacks today, Partington and Bolla both. Tho I will say for Bolla after Brown came on and he switched sides he did start to get hold of the guy that was giving Partington trouble, I’d have brown back in and start Bolla at right back for the next game. Agreed. Partington was given the run round, expect Browner back in next match with Bola on the right Hope not.

Great to see the Fan Cam for the Donny game on the BRFC Youtube channel. I like the way the Gasheads gradually rise up off their seats as Ellis is storming up the field then all go mental as he smashes the ball home! Fair play to all that made the long journey - a win always make the return journey easier. My last away trip was to Gillingham...

I think Partington was at fault really for both the sitters that Donny missed but he got away with them. Gaffers and Ellis both very calm to finish their chances. Would’ve been interesting to see some of their penalty shouts as they seemed to have about 4 turned down. All in all I’d say we had our fair share of luck today, but you earn your luck. UTG! Yes he was at fault for their goals but he also put in the two crosses for our goals. Has a very good touch but he needs to put it into row z when defending. UTG! Sorry nottshead, I was wrong it was Lines with the quality crosses. My eyesight!! 😀 UTG!

When the ball hit the back of the net, there was all sorts of scenes going on in the away end. By the end of it, turned round to see blokes from 2 rows back had all fallen over the seats, and ended up behind us, and spent a minute or 2 unpicking the tangled bodies, and helping them up back up

After seeing the sea of empty red seats at a Rovers v Rovers match .Thought a reminder of what a more full stadium for the fixture looks like would be enlightening for the yoof.

Superb.Remember Dai Ward,Harry Bamford ,Josser Watling ,Geoff Bradford etc.Not sure if they were fast or it was the Newsreel.Alec Jeffrey played for them, later broke his leg at Ashton in a representative game for England. Also, their goalie,Harry Gregg-survivor I think of the Munich disaster-later managed Crewe who got beat 14-2 by Spurs in the first leg of the Rumbelows Cup or whatever it was called then..When interviewed he quipped,'Thought their seventh was off-side!!!' Classic clip.
