Easy tiger... that’s the same stats as Ellis, you can’t go calling him crap!!! Many in Kingswood did and now have been trying to extricate themselves from their out and out abuse of our own player. Plenty gave him stick, some still do ! I am one of those not convinced by EH, he has taken massive steps forward this year. Just needs to add goal scoring consistency to his game.

If his contract is up in the summer he will command a signing on fee plus he will be able to negotiate better wages ? Whichever way you spin it, we have now played our hand and the owners have shown their true intent. There is no money coming our way and don’t expect it to. What happens now , when we have a striker injured ? Broom is away. We have given players out and not filled the spots. We are lucky Browner didn’t negotiate himself a team. I never had any expectations of players being bought but I did think we would loan a couple but now we don’t have the UWE to sell to potential players, we are well and truly stuffed. Still as long as Wael can have a good craic and dance around then we are fine. When will some people wake up and see this club is being eaten and left to rot ? I don’t think we will have a club within 3 more seasons of this. Either Higgs sold them a pup or they came in with absolutely no knowledge of football or had plans that aren’t married to the club. DC can only do so much. We cannot expect players to continually overachieve. I would be angry but I’m losing any love I have for the club now and i have only been going because of the people I get to see, that i otherwise wouldn’t see if not at a game. Its beyond disgraceful what we managed to cock us yesterday and it will be pivotal to our season and behind, that’s my opinion anyway the lack of ambition is sh**e as this club, one poster said yesterday we ain’t going up and we ain’t going down so does it matter if we sign anyone...if I thought like that I wouldn’t even bother watching, every season I hope to get promoted not just survive It’s depressing and if you can’t take a club forward why bs and say you are, evolution is a excuse and actions speak louder than words Utg

What did you want them to do? Call up Khan and say "Sign for Rovers you little f**ker or we'll throw a brick through your Nan's window"?

Jeez some of you lot are depressing, not the clubs progress.
We’ve made three good signings, all have sounded like primary targets.
Khan didn’t want to come but we put in an offer which triggered his release clause - this could have been a record transfer for all we know. Perhaps we’d have signed him too if he wanted to come.
We have two new wingers and a LB/CB option with experience. Isn’t this more or less what everyone wanted?
Recently Darrell has had a smile on his face, this says a lot.
If the board came out and said we were signing CR7 and Messi, with a 57000 stadium openin tomorrow, with a bank balance of 50 million to spare, some of you miserable lot would still say we were lacking ambition and are a season away from going bankrupt.
Sometimes the worst thing about being a gashead is some of the miserable lot who also call themselves that.

There's no point in spending money we haven't got when we're clearly not ready for Championship football at present. If you're not happy watching games at the Mem how the hell did you cope before DC became manager!

Surprising he decided to stay at a small club with average crowds of 2.5k battling to avoid relegation to non league. Can't believe they're paying him much as they have no money according to Way. Can only assume he's hoping to get better offers than the one we made from other L1 or Championship clubs in the summer. You think we have money ? We are haemorrhaging 1.6 million pa losses. DC said he’d be livid if he didn’t get some players in. I said expect only loans but it seems our non playing of loans had maybe gone against us ? DC has been more open than any other manager on his situation and he has said he’s now only here for us fans. It would seem that Wael made some very big promises and falsely raised our expectations. None of us can be blamed if we moan as we were promised so much and it’s come to only one player in and 4 out. What happens if and when we get injuries ? i can’t see DC staying IF a good offer comes his way and who coukd blame him, now we have truly seen him not being backed and one player even choosing Billericay over us. That one stings me let alone how he must feel who went to billericay?

But he's not out of contract in the summer. That's why I said if it's up ! Can only think he has a get out clause if they get relegated ! Otherwise taking a bit of a chance ? Things change quick in football !! Not sure if DC is the type of manager who would go back for him a second time ? My guess is he won't Lets be fair, I dont think there has ever been a transfer in the history of BRFC where a player who was reluctant to come here has turned out well. Andy Williams and the Tool being a couple of examples (okay the Tool himself had a good season but still was part of the squad that got relegated and the time spent chasing him was probably better spent elsewhere). If this guy would rather play for Yeovil then we should leave him to it.

Surprised DC mentioned it at all. The fact he did, makes me think he wouldn't go back for him, especially as it was his choice not to come. The two signed both said they wanted to come & DC was part of that. You get more out of those who want to be here than those who don't , irrespective of their skills. I wouldn't go as far as saying the fact we made signings shows the intent of the owners, I would imagine these were all within the FP budget, but none the less, they have supported DC with the budget. I still have strong reservations over their ability or will to deliver off field infrastucture tho.

Another scenario could have been that Khan could of been coming to us, then DC found out his first choice Bennett suddenly became available again.

Or perhaps DC was quite happy to sign him and Bennett. If he wants to stay at Yeovil good luck to him. We want players who want to be here as far as I am concerned.

I am surprised Otis decided to stay in south Somerset, best of luck to him; however, I am really pleased with the three D.C. has brought in, we now have width on both sides of the pitch and a really experienced defender, tremendous.

Very unlike DC to mention names of clubs and players. He would normally say that to do so would be disrespectful.
Wonder what's different about this one?

He may have decided that clubs will come in again for him in the summer or beyond that. That he wanted to stay at Yeovil to try to make sure the club and his teammates stay in the football league. He might not be confident enough yet in his abilities and worried the step up and expectation to be pushing for the top of league one is too much for him at present. Who knows. He made his mind up and that's it. Hope he has a good season and Yeovil stay up.

I think it was a good day, two good signings. And we failed to land a greedy, trouble maker. Let’s all wail like babies over it.

Inexplicably depressing thread,so many posters with a pure negative agenda that allows no balance or reasoning. Im chuffed with the transfer business and contrary to many opinions the owners have backed the manager with serious cash to improve the squad.
