I also noticed that Wael is good friends (Facebook) with some top banking people in Jordan, i wonder if this could be another avenue of funding ?
Hardly earth shattering news Henbury!
No but we have to keep the positive vibs going until the doom merchants get up from their collective pits

My Aussie Rules team use the 'greatness' moniker as their marketing tag line. Maybe we need to get on board with that... although on the other hand they have a new stadium and have won three premiership titles in the last ten years so maybe a tad more successful than the gas. But we could maybe say that we're aiming for greatness! I like your thinking Henbury

Sounds a lot like evolution to me, we are moving forward, improvements are definately happening, little by little, bit by bit.
I'm on the bus and it's powered by gas!

So are Bristol Rovers football club about to enter a new Golden age of football greatness We have a great manger We have a good set of footballers giving it everything for the badge We have a development squad we can be proud about with some very exciting players We have a good backroom team New owners who want the very best for the club New commercial dept looking to bring more funding into the club with new and innovative ideas A new Ground breaking shop in the near future New ticketing facilities to make it easier for distant gasheads We have a new training ground about to be built with excellent facilities to attract the right type of player to the club A new purpose built stadium about to be announced A great set of supporters All the bricks are now in place to build a championship club BRING IT ON I SAY I agree with most of what you list , training ground still debatable and not what they said it was going to be , and new purpose built stadium about to be anounced is just plain wishful thinking , not with these owners anyway . Other than that everything else you said was spot on.

Maybe, but the bit that i would like explained to me is why would a very successful banking family want to keep a loss making enterprise to the tune of £1.5m+ per year and still keep spending money on more "evolution" projects. I think they will build a stadium of some sorts just so they have a chance to get their money back !

I think they will build a stadium of some sorts just so they have a chance to get their money back ! I would really love to share your optimism HG but my personal view is that our current owners went into this deal with their eyes firmly closed and didn’t really realise what it took to run a football club and whilst I think that Wael Al Qadi has true affection for the club it doesn’t seem as though the rest of the family share his vision and because of that this is why I think they may be looking for the door in the not too distant future although I hear that Wael is looking for investment elsewhere so we will wait and see I suppose but it wouldn’t surprise me if things are lot more clearer within the next month. Believe it or not and contrary to many on here I am positive about Rovers and I still hang on to the thought that at 47 years of age I might see us in a purpose built stadium in the championship or dare I say it better but I’m struggling to see how that will now happen , on the pitch I think we have a top manager and he shows the vision to take this club forward but off the pitch we need to match this to enable us to keep hold of him 👍

I've been dreaming for 50 years about the Rovers, i'm sure we have a better chance now for that to become true with the current ownership I've been dreaming about Dolly Parton for 50 years and that will never happen Keep taking the hormone tablets and I'm sure you will look like her one day ~ never give up hope x

Is the new stadium about to be announced or do you just think they will build one? It's either or not both like your ramblings state

These last four seasons have been great times to support our club and I’m having a great time so that’s greatness for me personally.
