I know, reading the teaser on the web page (see below) made me think if only we had smuggled a gaschat representative into the "halls of power" that day we might have learnt some very interesting new information. Fallout of the breakdown of a deal: In any business, not all deals are meant to be a success. How to manage a situation when a deal doesn't go through? In this session, we will learn from the failed negotiations between Bristol Rovers and UWE, what went wrong and why the plug was eventually pulled, and how did Rovers handle the consequences and fallout of the breakdown of the deal. We'll also get a peek into the alternative action plan the club is working on at the moment.

However.......... For all the doubters re a plan B. Surely Wael wouldn't stand up on an European summit meeting and spout lies to this esteemed group. I think it's great that he's even there and encouraging he has something to tell them of the lessons learnt and the recovery plan. I guess he will speak less about the fall out as that was practically a blanket of silence.

Surely that depends on what he said, if he just talked in the round terms about building a new stadium in Bristol then it's no more than he's already said post UWE? Regardless he's most likely told the delegates a damn sight more than we know if he's s[poke for 30+ mins plus!

No evidence to suggest he was there..the website was probably knocked together long before the collapse of UWE. Nothing had been reported (surprise) by the club. Again the lack of communication from the top is non existent, how do you get any positivity when nothing is being said.

Why people chose to believe made up negativity and not made up positivity is probably just down to personality types. Meanwhile, the truth is probably somewhere in between.

Always believed, and find in my day to day working life... If someone has done something good then they will make it known...If they haven't then will generally stay quiet. If there is nothing of note that can be made public to the fans on how the forum went. Then it is what it is.

Slightly different in my job, those who do a good job tend to go unrecognised as it is expected, those who make it known tend to be those who need to say so because it is so unusual and out of character.

May be a different culture. And I am not saying Wael has done anything bad either to clear that up. But if there is nothing to say then I don't personally feel any more positive about our ground situation. I live in hope that one day the biggest secret in football is made public and the Gas will be building a 30k all seater stadium, with a decent pitch that doesn't dig up after 2 games.

You almost sound like a Business Analyst working in a large 3-company building not far from the MOD in Filton!! The BA that does a good job every year is ignored as it is expected. The crap one who does a good job now and then gets noticed because it is seen as overachieving!!

I've known little different in the years I have worked there.
