No the game was embarrassing. Long balls hit and hope by both sides Circle w*nk of negativity with no grounding in reality. True though, 2 teams on show who wouldn't look out of place in L2

Thank the heavens that game wasn’t shown on live tv as I’ve not witnessed such a poor game of football since the national league days. This isn’t just a dig at DC and Bristol rovers but also at afc Wimbledon. I truly hope they get the relegation they deserve based on their zero football and lumping tactics. It was a poor show by two poor teams. First half we tried to play a bit and second half there was no attempt at a basic 5 yard pass. It’s the sort of football that doesn’t sell season tickets so Darrel best work on a different style of play than that dross. To be fair we spent the first half of the season trying to play expansive attacking football away and were getting turned over and since we’ve gone for a more solid shape we’ve had one of the best away form records in the division. It was a killer seeing us concede in the last minute today but we very nearly got another decent away point. We’re doing ok lately , I find threads like this knee jerk , negative and Ill informed. 2 defeats from our last ten and a massively improved away form suggests D.C. has got us in form enough to be pushing for a top half finish again and perhaps play offs. I don’t think it’s knee jerk. Dc openly admitted our forward play was diabolical. Wimbledon looked poor couldn’t string together 2 passes and I see that as an opportunity missed. We almost got dragged down to their level with long ball hit and hopes. Understand we turned our away form around and credit to dc for that but on this occasion got it wrong with tactics and substitutions. Game to forget move on to Scunthorpe.

Disagree with aspects of this thread and agree on some aspects. Football is a game that can be played many ways. Wimbledon play a certain way and its not pretty but to be fair to them on their own pitch they are pretty good at playing that way and dragging other teams into it. Unfortunately we are a team who are always going to struggle against big physical teams because that is what we lack in DC's squad make up- big physical players. Ollie Clarke who has not really been playing that well this season yesterday IMO had his best game and I wasn't at all surprised because it was his sort of battle- once he went off we struggled to compete in the midfield and we were never going to get anywhere yesterday with Sinclair, Bennett or Nicholls. if we are going to compete in this league with all teams then we need to toughen up a bit. Lets be honest anyone who knows football knew it wasn't going to be a game for the purist!!

Wimbledon have come from tier nine of the football pyramid mainly driven by dedicated fans over that time. They got themselves a ground to play at in London which is very small with no income sources . They are now going to move to a new stadium 11,000 ? which can be expanded if needed.
To want a club like that to be relegated is very disrespectful. They are doing what they can to stay in this division.
Just don't forget when you say these things that people have said that about Bristol Rovers many a time.

Sorry you didn't get to see some world class footy, maybe next time.

I'd love to know where the money from 9,000 home gates goes every match, £180K or £4m a season sounds a big pot to me compared to the Dons 4,500 home gates.

Fine lines as DC says.We only lost a point we weren't gonna get three. Those type of games can go any way. Bit unfair to make Lines the scapegoat
