I’d agree our buildup music is a bit like listening to classic gold but the half time and pre-buildup music is alright and generally a good mix of generations. I’d say oasis is starting to get a bit old school too now though - Don’t look back in anger is approaching 25 years old now. That said modern music is rather horrific so wouldn’t want us to change to that for the sake of change. I don’t think poor half time entertainment can be blamed on the music, as you need something a bit extra beyond - it has been fairly poor this season. I do like the Ability F.C. slots, and the kick it for a season ticket was always good. What I don’t like is little girls with Pom poms dancing around on the centre circle. Not for me thanks. Think it’s a bit weird. I think it's very easy to say modern music is rubbish. I agree that the trash you hear on Radio 1 or Kiss is terrible but 6 music plays loads of new bands which are brilliant. I’m probably younger than most here (late 20s) and would agree. Typically your warm up music would be a bit more mainstream and be the said Radio 1/Kiss crap rather than the niche finds.

The problem with lots of Rovers fans, and really a lot of Bristolians is they don't like change. But everyone has to change like it or not. I agree the whole build up music is past its sell by date and what's more some of the half time music from the library of the our announcer, is at times "music to slit your wrists to"
Personally (A) Let the players choose the run out music, After all they are the ones that run out to it. (B) the run up music has to have a considerable beat. I remember when we had a "stand in" announcer and he played some stonking tunes. So lets get some heavy thumping electro music to get the crowd going. (C) Half time has become a joke (Apart from yesterday) we have a variety of "teams" introduced one by one, who they run round the edge of the pitch. Followed by dedications of birthdays, weddings, divorces and some bloke on Australia wishes all the best. (This is why I hate listening to Keith Brookman on the commentary). Then the Helpline Holiday, anyone remember when once a year it was a car?
WHATEVER HAPPENED TO HALF TIME SCORES?
At the end of the game Tote Boys will do, feeling happy or sad I just want to go home

I think they mean modern pop music. I heard the charts on a drive back to Bristol about a year ago and as they counted down to number 1 the songs got worse not better.

I'd quite like the Elvis v JXL 'A little less conversation' as the run out music

Can’t beat the Rocky tune in my opinion. Grew up with it at Twerton and it still sounds great now.

There are at least 50 different versions online of Irene by many famous singers - just stick Goodnight Irene into Youtube. They could play 2 at every home game and still have some left over at the end of the season. Glad all Over is awful and Delilah is about a bloke stabbing his bird to death. The jim Reeves version of Goodnight Irene is one of the best and just about the right tempo. Johnny Kidd and the pirates songs might be a good fit for obvious reasons, including "I'll never get over you" and" Shakin' all over". Perhaps one for the old Totenders - Batchelor Boy. For something a little more hard edged "So What" from the Anti-Nowhere League.

I'd just like a respected DJ to play some decent songs or get a playlist together... Nick Days taste is bland & Lance is too alternative... Will never forgive Nick for playing Letter from America, but he's a great PA.

I'm quite into Beethoven's symphony #7 (2nd movement) at the moment.... Yep but I’d prefer Rachmaninov!😉 UTG!

Great shout Gregsgas, I like Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto No 2, this music in the wrong hands can dangerous,It can grab you round the throat and start to attack your brain, you would have to be stark raving mad to play this , after a heavy home defeat.

Instead of rocky, could we try the sound track from the pirates of the Caribbean, the title is called 'He's a Pirate' which is more appropriate. Cannon fire as the teams come out of the tunnel would be fantastic!

Cannon fire as the teams come out of the tunnel would be fantastic! I take it you know little about modern day health and safety regulations?

I don't mean fire cannon balls into the crowd lol Why not? Fire a few shots across the oppositions bow, and it might cause a few ground improvements.

I guess the more people sing to it, the more they'll play it.
I could be wrong, but I don't remember sweet caroline being played at all before the conference play off final. It was played as a celebration song and we've played it at home since...
