Bennett did a great job of nicking the ball off their midfield, especially in the first half, and seemed to win the second balls as well. Not bad for a “lightweight”as he was dubbed by many in his first appearance or two.

Really should have been a total massacre today. So many chances. And never a pen, but did look it to me at time. Let’s get clinical please

Interesting that not many rated Bola's performance as I thought he was one of our better players. Think the fact he overlaps Bennett who can cut in is a dangerous weapon and I don't feel as worried when we're defending as I do when others play LB.

Fair play to Bennett. His contributions vital to both goals and he looks like he’ll be a big player for us next year. Bola was weak for the goal and then who scuffed the clearance? Was it Lines or Parts? (Difficult to make out on a small screen). Spent the afternoon in bloody IKEA with the missus and the little ‘un. Always the same. What’s meant to be a quick visit turns out to take 5 hours. I genuinely feel like i’ve lost my sanity (as well as a fair wedge of cash) so the Gas winning has truly made my day. I hate that place mainly because its been built on our spiritual home. Like if someone built a shop on your families grave , horrible feeling. Also because Ikea is a horrible place. Only been there once and once I realised that you have to walk all the way around it to get to the end which I wasn’t going to do so I cut through a partition wall but only to be told by some spotty little sh** that I’m not allowed to do that and have to walk all the way around. Obviously I wasn’t in the best of moods anyway because all I could think of was Eastville and how it is now so I let the member of staff know that if he was willing to try and stop me he could try, other wise to get out of my Dam way. I haven’t been back.

He apologised in an interview on the official site.

I’m not sure Bennett is quite our new Billy Bodin but as good as Billy was he had a tendency to be a little greedy and take shots which were a bit over ambitious, which we of course forgave given his extreme talent and knack for putting the ball in the net. Bennett is a much better all rounder with a greater ability to draw in other players into the game and seems to fit the team a little better rather than requiring the team to be structured around his ability. Interesting observations and comparisons. Thought I'd take a look at the BBC stats on Bodin's shots and Bennett's, interesting that Bennett has quite a low percentage on hitting the target. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/bristol-rovers/top-scorersSinclair's stats are great, 10 shots, 8 on target, 3 goals - is that proof that he's the least selfish and best team player in the squad, or does he need to shoot more? (Maybe the stats are skewed by players in different positions getting different types of chances?)

Just watched the highlights thought it looked a 3 or 4 nil sort of match myself and bit baffled why so many people on here said deffo not a pen?? I’ve seen em given for far less, ref gets to see it in a split second it looked a stone wall pen first watch.

Would like to see James Clarke and Broadbean in for Monday. Both were out injured and watching the game in the west stand so I'm not sure that is possible. I would like to see Telford get a start though and hopefully one or two can return from injuries.

I think Bennett is a player with a huge amount of potential, and from what I've seen so far, I'm impressed.
He may have taken a slight step backwards, on the face of it, leaving Pompey to join us, but he's got the right manager with him now. No doubt he felt the same.

Awkward challenge from behind with the player well in front of him, perhaps got some of the ball but certainly seen them given plenty. If it hadn’t Been given I wouldn’t have been seething but not surprised that it was at all.

Hi all from Australia There was a forum member who used to format the match highlights so that those of us overseas could see them, but it hasn’t happened since the MK Dons match. Does anyone remember who it was, or does anyone else know how to do it? Thanks!

A lot of people praised Telford’s finish but how on earth did he win that header in the first place, he’s tiny! Fair play to the lad.

Bennet is another gem unearthed by D.C. watched him closely yesterday, what a superb little footballer. His strength and balance are unbelievable. The more we get him on the ball, the better we'll become. Like you said DC pulled it out the hat again 👏👏

But I know how it feels, l had two young ‘uns and lived 100 miles away when family were growing up. Missed big chunks of the 80s and 90s. Smile and be gracious! 😤 😉 UTG!

Bennett was superb. Mensah showed a lot of promise.
Shoulder barge with arm raised in the area - blatant pen.
