Looks like the useless waste of space has found his level.
Former Scotland, Hibernian and Celtic forward Derek Riordan has signed for St Bernard's, who play in the Lothian and Edinburgh Amateur Football league.
The 35-year-old, capped three times for his country, lasted played in the senior leagues with Edinburgh City in league Two last season.
Riordan made seven appearances, scoring three times, after signing a short-term deal in February 2017.
That had come after eight months out of the game after leaving York City.

Amazing how he did so well at Aberdeen but so poor everywhere else. I hope When Taylor gets to 35 he’ll be remembered as that striker was was brilliant for Bristol Rovers but terrible everywhere else.

"scoring 3 goals" that's one more than Nichols has managed this season!

He could have been loved here, been a hero and set himself up for a future coaching role here. Instead he will be a nobody with no easy job to go in to.

Would you have him back? Taylor that is. For me its like your girl has left, but you know she was a good shag. Then you hear that her new boyfriend is disappointed with her performance, and one day she will be dumped. Would you take her back, especially as you know she might have learnt some new tricks

Err... we are still talking about football right?

Whilst I was disappointed with Taylor's decision - he was lured away by treble his wages - I wonder how many who criticise him would have done the same in his position? go on ask yourself the question.
As for Riordan, he was given a chance to get his career on track after serving time away from football. He didn't take the chance and didn't particularly seem to try very hard.

Very amusing! With Taylor the comparison needs to be a bit more like losing your best employee. You might hate the f**ker for leaving to your closest rival for the dosh but he might get you results if you have him back and help you finally do one over on the bastards.

Regarding Riordan, good for him.
Regarding Taylor... seriously, why is a player wanting money such a felony with you people?
Someone called me out on another forum for "defending" Taylor just because I didn't want his head on a plate. Here's my answer to that, and what I think about this whole "going to City" thing:
==
"Who said anything about "defend"?
Some of us just aren't so invested in players that we have to prosecute them - or defend them - for things that happen all the time in modern football. I also have major doubts about most "diehard fans", especially the ones in the BRFC fanbase; going by the past few weeks in online forums and groups, all I've seen is "diehard fans" slagging off players before they sign, throwing a fit over not signing Ricky *ing Miller, wishing players would die or get killed, calling them sweet little names like "retard" or things of that nature like they've no consequence... not to mention the diehard fans who got us a nifty little fine for shouting racial abuse during a match a few years ago.
Basically, it goes both ways, no? Fans aren't loyal to most players; in return, most players have learned not to be loyal to those fans either. Whether or not Matty Taylor is or isn't a welcome person wherever has no meaning to me, I liked him while he did his job for us, now he's gone and he's shown where his priorities lay with that move - good then, go in peace, have a blast or whatever."
