Or to ignore "no news" perhaps. If you're referring to the review as opposed to UWE I think everyone has lost interest while things are looking better on the pitch. NH has already done an update on UWE basically sayin no news at all yet but still referring to Sainsbury's as "our partners". Let's go for good news - it's been about 5 years since we had a feel-good thing going on!

Review, what review.....?
The team is winning, the Number 12 is off life support and getting behind the team. I think any review will quietly evaporate into the ether.

Just thinking "everything is ok now" is a recipe for disaster.

I like your thinking about get it out now we are doing well and the fans are back onside.
However, if we go on a bad run everyone will blame NH for shooting himself in the foot and bringing us down
The time for the review was before the season started. It's too late now. Once again, they missed the chance to heal the wounds and allow us all to move on. It will come back to bite them.

No, I think it's a good time to stop talking about it full stop.

The board are on such a knife edge it's unbelievable. Just a couple of bad results and this really will come back with a vengeance.

Yawn .... You spent all that time writing that ...... A couple of hours of your life wasted that you will never get back ..... You don't have to agree with it, like it or even like Buckrippers. Surely its just to be read as 'comment' and used as a basis for discussion?? Or have I missed something?

Cannot understand the attitude of people like Amgas. Why come on this thread and post a negative comment. You must be new to the forum cos it sounds like you've read Buckrippers blogs before. Like i said if you think its pointless just move on and read something else

Yawn .... You spent all that time writing that ...... A couple of hours of your life wasted that you will never get back ..... No need for this - I don't always agree with Buckrippers take on things (prefer him to the other EP blog though) but he has as much right to his comments as I do to mine (even if he sometimes talks bo**ocks)

I thought his blog was predictable and boring. As to "moving on and reading something else" why should I not say what I think of it ? I am sure he is able to take criticism as he is good at dishing it out.

You are indeed entitled to criticize his work but you didn't really say why you didn't like it in your first post, you just said he'd wasted some of his life writing it. Im sure if youd said something against his view people would not have got on your case. I personally don't agree with Nick on this one. I think anytime the review comes out will already be too late and to do so during a good run to bury it would be madness imo. He is right though, if the BOD end up getting off the hook on the back of a good season then they will have been very lucky indeed.

Conversely you could argue that the Board were put on the hook on the back of a bad season so getting off it in the same way is not really " luck" but par for the course.
We were all clamouring before last season for John Ward to be persuaded to stay and for JJ to be signed . We are led to believe that he alongside others were signed on one of the largest budgets in the division. We seemed to be heading full steam ahead for a promotion push. We had the new stadium in the pipeline and NH and his crew successfully overturning objection after objection.
Had that team delivered a good season - do you really think that all this anti board feeling would have surfaced?

Yeah, you could be right, but the fact is, we WERE relegated after flirting with it for a long time. If you stick your cock in a lions mouth enough time, you're going to get bit eventually. There is a saying: A person is clever, people are stupid. Football fans are basically stupid. A few wins and we completely change our views and forget everything that went before it. This season is no different, regardless of what division we are in, so many of us want to forgive and forget and move on. But what happens when we start losing a few games again? There are so many wounds left festering that could and should have been dealt with by now. If we all just sit back and accept any old sh** year in year out and never ask the difficult questions and never get any answers we will never get any better.

UTG I never expected to see a public review document. I think I remember something being said about a code of conduct being drawn up ... and that would be in the public domain ... or did I dream that???

If we all just sit back and accept any old poo year in year out and never ask the difficult questions and never get any answers we will never get any better. You are so right, Hugo - in my opinion. If I had said a year ago: "Would you sacrifice our League status and the UWE stadium in exchange for four successive victories?", I would have been ridiculed, and rightly so. But here we are with all of those things having happened (UWE perhaps only 99% doomed). And yet many are posting as if everything is great. Things are certainly looking up, and well done to DC and the players, but to me we can only say that the club is going places when we have had a sustained run of success (say 20 games, as all Conference promotion teams need), the Board have announced a Plan B for redevelopment of the Mem, and, clutching at straws here, they publish and implement proposals for the long-term financial and footballing success of the club.

So what do you do? pull the scab off now and risk our fragile recovery or wait and risk the old infection returning. I think whatever happens people need to take responsibility and answer for what has happened even if we are promoted.

I am sure he is able to take criticism as he is good at dishing it out. Bring some intelligence to your criticism and it will be welcomed. Play the smart arse with the comments like you did and people will call you out. Simple really. And don't try to play the victim, you're just digging a deeper grave for yourself.
