To get us promoted, we still need a pacy, powerful RIGHT winger/forward who will supply chances and chip in with goals. Gosling currently plays there but being left footed wants to come inside - that doesn't give the team balance. What's happened to Monkehouse anyone - when is he back? He's also played in this position but doesn't give us that pace and movement.

Not sure what to make of Monkhouse, he's a better option at this time than Gosling but I think/hope there is more to come and he is also left footed. We do really need a natural right winger. From what I've seen of Leadbitter he could be a better option as he's suspect defensively but decent going forward and is right footed with bags of pace.

He didn't want to play for us . More like we wouldn't pay his high wages.

Good signing for them, lots of experience at this level (2 promotions in recent years)
Will be plenty of other opportunities to get players in though, lots of FL clubs will be getting rid in January etc.

I like the balance of having someone on the left (Martin) who hugs the touchline and stays wide, and Gosling on the right who mainly cuts in. Also it depends who plays RB behind Gosling IMO, as if Leadbitter plays behind him and is able to overlap in the space Gosling leaves down the wing then that works well.

That pairing looked very vulnerable defensively in the first half last Saturday though. Against teams who are very direct and narrow in their approach (e.g. Telford, Nuneaton) then I'd play that combination. But I'd play Lockyer against teams with an attacking threat from the wing

What do you mean Leadbitter is really a midfielder? He's played his entire senior career as a rightback.

To be fair, Hereford fans seem to say when we signed him that he is defintley more a wing back than out and out right back as he is better at attacking then defending but yea, I would still call him more a right back than a winger.

I don't believe he is which is why I would rather have a player who is a more natural wide man in this position - they won't get a nosebleed when they get anywhere near the opposition penalty box.

I did read that wrong, I could have swore I read it as saying Leadbitter is a midfielder, not asking if he is. Apologies.
