With nick day moving on, would you like to see a more crowd lifting mc like the Atlético Madrid one, the bloke goes mental when they score and makes the crowd chant the goalscorers name. Also plays music when they score, would you like to see this introduced as people keep mentioning the crowd has been tamer this year at the mem.

I hate goal music, the day we do it will be a sad day for me. I’d be happy if we had someone quite upbeat but not in a hyped up Americanised way.

We should have a podium at the front of the Thatchers terrace complete with a mad man and a loud haler .

I quite like it when I'm watching the European games and you hear them go mental shouting the players name a few times. Think it could work. Thing is the Mem just let's all sound out of the ground. It's difficult to hear what is being sung in Thatchers end of imagine down in the south tent.

I once went to the Emirates where they did the fans repeating the surname of the players and it was one of the worst atmosphere's I'd ever been in. Some of that was the Emirates itself, but please no to the repeating players name thing. Same with the goal music.
A key issue with any of this happening though would be the fact that you'd need to be able to hear the MC through the speakers and we've been at the mem long enough now to know we have 0 chance of that happening.

We should have a podium at the front of the Thatchers terrace complete with a mad man and a loud haler . This is what actually happens at all the German grounds. The club employ people to start the songs off. They spend their time on a small platform, with their backs to the game most of the time. They also publish the words to all the songs on the internet. In this way it cuts down on the bad language that is sang, however, now and again the fans do start their own songs, including one which tells the German FA to fornicate away !

Yeah ^ it happens quite a lot in European and South American football, though it varies from employ to just having a significant influence on club politics and free tickets. English support is more organic and I think most would agree this is better.
RE, the op - no, I prefer the Nick Day approach and hope the new custodian of the mic (Lance?) carries on were the big man left off.

I think Lance does a cracking job whenever he’s stepped in for Nick. He’s been his assistant for over a decade, loves the club - no better person to take over in my eyes.
Also does a banging pre-match playlist.

I hate goal music that much that if we introduce it I will stop going. American crap. The football league should introduce a rule that immediately disallows any goal that is followed by goal music.

Try to go twice a year, German football experience is so much better. At the Commerzbank they even have a podium in the away corner. No trying to subdue the opposition fans there, it’s all about the atmosphere.

Ray Kendall (as well as being kit man) used to do a proficient, if understated job of MC at Eastville. If anyone scored, Ray would just announce the goalscorer and on with the game.
I think someone stood in for Ray for Bobby Gould's debut against Blackburn in 1977 and they were asked to perk it up a bit. Gould hat-rick helped and every goal was greeted by a 1970's version of the Bundesliga type celebration.
Needless to say, it only lasted one game and normal service was resumed.
