The Campbell goal was the first time I really believed we were going up that season, Jeff Hughes continued his run of scoring against us as well and then it was all capped off by Sean Rigg getting the 5th. Lincoln must hate league 2 play off games on this day. Ummm... think you might have the wrong season mate!! Too many promotions recently to remember

I decided to ignore the opening post and just run with the date seeing as we had 2 great moments on that date and everyone else had covered the Wembley experience. The only thing I could've added was when we reached penalties suddenly feeling completely confident that we would win it to the point where a lady the row behind me was laughing at my confidence.

So I guess we could speak about both in this thread! For me, that night is still one of my favourite away games of all time!

I was in that section - shocking. My dad & I were singing all game desperately trying to get an atmosphere going. There was also a group of about 7 helping us having a laugh but most people just sat down and looked at us like we were idiots. I think its the first time I've genuinely been angry at our supporters before, we completely lost our voices. Unfortunately I think they were all day trippers hoping to join in a song when the whole section would sing. Yeah, I was in a different section, but about every 5 minutes, some bloke about 10 rows behind me would just shout out 'sing you lady gardens.' I was near the back of one of the so called sections but the last few rows of us in that block were standing the whole game and everyone was at least trying to make an effort for a bit of atmosphere. Better than the 2007 final where I had one guy telling me to sit down, the be quite! The same guy kept calling Chris Carruthers Joe Jacobson! There should be a separate section for day trippers! (Although I was technically one of those two years ago!)
