I'm sat on the fence about why we take so many to finals etc.... Is it potential support, or are we from a big city with a lot of people who enjoy a boozy day out? I think we have a smaller but still large fan base compared to the Teds. Maybe 40:60 these days, optimistically. The difference is that in recent years, the Teds actually go to games, because they have some very attractive games to watch. And they have a nice new stadium. We have a dump with tents and queues and all the rest nobody wants nowadays. Our sleeping support is dwindling, but not dead, as is shown for the occasional big final. There is still a big fan base out there, but the longer we leave it until we do something about the stadium, the further it will trickle away. We can't rely on DC to sort out everything at the club.

I agre with all that you say. I also think that, if like Shrewsbury we spent most of next season in the top 2 positions, we would sell out the Mem every game. People would endure the crap conditions because there would be enough interest to fill the ground. I wonder if such a scenario would kick-start the owners into action?

You get the feeling that Shrews team will be broken up especially if Hurst moves on. Their keeper is brilliant but as others say will likely go to the Champ.
A realistic target - would love to have Nsiala at CB for us - no nonsense player who would make massive difference. Nolan is quality but also prob off to the Champ.

Sounds to me like Hurst will be the new Ipswich manager.

He was named in the PFA League One team of the year and kept 19 clean sheets this season. He's out of contract and the team south of the river reportedly want him.

Exeter gone 1 behind. They were sitting too deep and inviting pressure on themselves. Bet they come out an d play now like we know they can. Come in Exeter!

Gutted Exeter won’t be coming up as a great away day. They truly have been awful!
Wouldn’t mind stealing Jordan Storey off of them tho, or Jayden Stockley

Tisdale worried too much about Coventry rather than concentrating on their own game. Barely had an attack in the first half.

I do like him, but have doubts in my mind about whether he could step up and have a big enough impact at this level. Edit: I'd take the keeper Pym off them though.

Would only take Stockley as a Plan B option from the bench. Don’t think he’d be good enough to be a main choice striker, but think he does offer more of a goal threat than Gaffney. Agree with Pym, Exeter seem to have a brilliant youth set up producing player after player

I wasn't too fussed with any of Exeter team's to be honest. Hard to judge Stockley as he had such little support but I would worry that our style might lead to Long ball with him in the team. I'd be very disappointed if U b was an Exeter fan. They just didn't give it a go at all.
