Sorry that's a Ban so "C'mon Everybody" lets get him Banned ! I got thrown out of a disco because of that song. They played The Twist so we all did the twist. They played the Birdy song so we all did the Birdy dance. Well, you can guess the rest. Very naughty boy! Are you sure it wasn't come dancing?

But according to many on here the planning permission had expired. The UWE aren't going to build anything. They don't have the money. UWE have plenty of money as most universities do now these days, they've just opened a £55 million Faculty of Business and Law on campus in addition to the many other development projects going on. It's just they don't want to build a £40-£50m football stadium nor do they want to hand over the freehold of valuable land for a football club which is quite understandable really. I can't believe some are still going on about this as planning expired months ago. No it didnt

What's so hard to believe?

Could it be possible that ?
UWE will make a considerable amount of money by leasing land to people who wish to build and operate the student accommodation, the hotel, the pub/restaurant/take away and the office space.
They will use that money to construct the new stadium.
Rovers will become tenants at the new stadium.
Dwane Sports will sell the Mem to recoup their loan.
Rovers will be debt free.

We have had this discussion before but in business terms the ownership of an asset is not paramount it's what you do with the asset that matters.
Many football clubs, even Manchester City for example, lease their stadium and put the cash they would have spent on buying it into making their business more successful which, after all, is the primary aim.
Unless yours is a property business the only benefit of ownership is that you can borrow against that asset. But if your business itself is underfunded and unsuccessful then your trading losses mount and the eventual outcome is that your borrowings increase until you have no equity left in the asset.
Which is a story we are becoming familiar with at Rovers.

So are Swansea? Although I can't see the UWE spending £40/50m just to build us a ground we can then rent, there doesn't seem anything in it for them, unless they really think the stadium is going to attract a better class of under graduate. As far Gasincider claiming the pp's not lapsed, were S Glos supposedly lying then when they wrote to the UWE's agents telling them that pp would lapse if they didn't meet the last planning conditions out before it lapsed? Which they never seemed to do? "It is critical to note that the final two conditions and implementation needs to be made by the 17th January 2018 to allow the planning permission to remain *extant." *Extant = still in existence; surviving

Just repeating what Gasincider said on this thread earlier, anyway does it really matter if it's £10m or £100m I can't see the UWE spending it to build us a stadium, which is the issue being discussed not the cost.

Yes - I think the stadium will happen but maybe not under that model.

These little teasing posts hinting at being ITK are so annoying.
Makes my blood boil.
Either come out and say what you know/have heard or STFU.
Please.
