Maybe Hamer is about to resign. In which case the moaners banging on about the cost of exec level pay in the club should be happy but you can bet the farm that if he did they would be on here billing it as one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse.

Maybe Hamer is about to resign. But would that really cause meltdown on here? I have nothing against him personally. But I get the sense some on here would be happy with that.

I assume this post from newcomer "Utg12" a couple of pasts back covers that news? "It is actually a very important question. There is a lot of concern going on behind the scenes at rovers. Nothing to do with stadium, mgr, players or money (there may be some of that as well but I'm not party to that). it is to do with senior staff, roles, resignations and consultation. Board meeting today. Anyone who knows anything about life & work will know that we are all human and things like this can happen. It's not unlikely & isn't nrcessarily 'negative'. It's just reality. And as fans we do surely want a sustainable future for our club & for the people & volunteers who care about it" Topper, the newcomer (from 2015) 'utg12' has since changed their words to that comment you copied and pasted. I seeked clarification about their post as by my interpretation of it was that they were implying they were in the know about some aspects of what was going on, especially when they say "there is a lot of concern going on behind the scenes". Like how would they know that! They responded to my question by claiming I was nit picking so they changed their words which gives a new interpretation that they are not in the know about anything. I am still unsure what they therefore meant about "there is a lot of concern going on behind the scenes". I asked this but no reply. Remind you of someone we know? Christ, no wonder people who have info don't bother posting. yes, I am ITK if that's what you want to call (I just call it knowing enough about THIS topic). yes, I do know that what I wrote is happening. yes, there is a board meeting today. The meeting will include discussion on serious non-playing staff issues. Do you honestly expect me to name names when the said meeting may help sort them out (hopefully in a nice way)? What happens after that only a few very select people will get to know, and if any of it obviously has to be public we'll all get to know that part of the discussion. have you ever been involved in managing / supervising / employment / boards / governing bodies? It's quite common. People in jobs unhappy about way things are going and feel they can't solve it so end up leaving, hopefully relatively amicably.

Perhaps though some people should have a bit more discretion and shouldnt have brought it up in public in the first place and then people wouldn't get called out on it.

Called out? I hope / presume thats not aimed at me? Sadly I don't believe it will be easily resolved & could involve losing incredible people (gasheads through & through) whilst greasy pole climbers stay. Surely it is important that fans know, to some degree, that future relationships with fans and volunteers are under threat?

I dont agree with the look at this, and not actually saying anything approach. New CEO starta shakes things up is not necessarily a story and sometimes noses need to be put out of joint in business. I am not privvy to any info or what is or isnt happening, but people can fly up the flag and then not say anything. Put up or keep it to yourself as otherwise it is just antagonistic If we lose volunteers because we go for a different approcah is not inherently a bad thing. Who are the greasey pole climbers?

Perhaps we should have a survey. Is Severncider a: ~ Wind Up Merchant ~ Disaffected Higgs Fan ~ Higgs ~ City Fan ~ Scare mongerer ~ Serial Moaner ~ Fishing Merchant ~ Attention Seeker or just to balance things ~ A seriously in the know individual and we should all be sh**ting a brick as the club is going to fold..... He's a clearly uninformed negative thinker, in my opinion.

Does anyone actually know who the op actually is? In discussion with my oppo "Blueside" we are confused as to why a Chairman/Director would divulge this sort of (alleged)information to some random character, is he known to them? I have posted my photo, name, where my seat is, where I drink before a game, what more info do you want, my avatar even includes my surname. Yes SH and the Directors know me and we get along fine. No, I do not get confidential information from any Director but when I ask questions like Ellis , I usually get an honest reply and am told that the info is not confidential. If it was confidential, highly sensitive I would not post it. I think it may be best if I gave this forum a rest but I will be at Melksham, wearing a badge ""I'm Severncider" if anyone wants to have a sensible discussion. I hope we all have a good 2018/19 but for the time being, adios. I wonder how many people would post in the same way if they couldn't hide behind the anonymity of an avatar etc. Fair play to you. Don't stop posting...there are those of us on here, like myself, who don't have an emotional response to everything you post. In my opinion it's not North Korea and unless you post something that breaks forum rules you can post what you want. I don't have to agree or reply to your posts and neither does anyone else. Don't let a few over sensitive types stop you posting as some appreciate a variety of opinions to make a more informed opinion for themselves. Would be intrigued to see how many other posters would be comfortable using an actual picture of themselves and their real name and if they did if their style changed at all. UTG

You posted something. Fine, no problem. I asked you a question to clarify if my interpretation of what you posted was correct. That seems to be a problem to you because you then claim that I am nit picking, just for simply asking what you meant. (Just a side note: If seeking clarification is classed as nit picking to you then good luck on this forum. And in life too, because clearly you've been involved in "managing / supervising / employment / boards / governing bodies", so you will therefore get many people in those fields seeking clarification on matters. Are they all nit pickers too?). Anyway, moving on... You then "changed" your original words because I am apparently nit picking. Thanks for that. Don't know why you just couldn't do that without trying to make it personal buy hey-ho. Unfortunately, that change of words contradicted something else in your 1st comment so I simply asked another question, as I was just trying to understand what you meant. It really should not be this difficult really and I am unsure why you are being funny about it all.
Finally though, you have admitted you are ITK. That's great. That's all I asked you to confirm in the first place in reply to your 1st post. Why its taken several posts for you to answer the question, but instead get funny about it with me. is beyond me! We got there in the end though, didn't we! Also for the record, I have not asked you to name names of anyone. Personally I wouldn't expect anyone who is ITK to give names out publicly of on-goings of the club which shouldn't be out in the public. I just wish those ITK not post I know something you don't know and then not tell anyone what it is as its just attention seeking. And I am not talking about you by the way. Your post here isnt the same as the attention seeking comments from elsewhere. That's because you have given more info without it being cryptic. You have said there is a board meeting where the discussion will include non playing staff issues which sounds like some people could be leaving. That is better than someone posting I know something you don't know and then they bugger off leaving everyone to guess what is going on and then you got a lot of negative thoughts going on with suggestions of Wael leaving or we have no money blah blah blah.
Cheers for that

Would be intrigued to see how many other posters would be comfortable using an actual picture of themselves and their real name and if they did if their style changed at all. UTG I use my initials as my username. My name is Charlie James. I am 38. I actually have tried several times to add a picture for my avatar. Not just pictures that include me in it but other pictures too that is Rovers related. But nothing I have tried gets accepted. Always some error about size or something. I tried the size it suggests but that still don't work. I have nothing to hide. I am who I am. If you like me great. If you don't then that's a cunty thing to think about me
How are you orgasmic? Is that your real name?

For the record I do get a bit peeved with any poster who drops a bombshell (large or small) and then disappears, it is no wonder people question his motives/information. As for me, you know I use the same name on Twitter where my picture is readily available for all to look at. For those not on Twitter my name is Phil aged 61 and I live in BS3. One day I will get round to adding a picture on here as well. Anyway, as it's not coming home now I must concentrate on the Gas. See you all soon at the Mem
