Second pre season fixture today at Huish Park, another chance to see the new signings in action. Bit of a tougher test with league opponents so should be a better game to guage where we are at, anybody else attending this?

I think they lowered ticket prices, it’s now £6 instead of £12

With much chagrin, I have decided that I cannot spare the time from work to make it to tonight's game.
It is a shame because I went to Melksham on Saturday and thoroughly enjoyed it. I was impressed by the new additions to the squad and specifically would like to mention:
Ed Upson: looked a really good signing - predominantly a defensive midfielder, looked to take the ball off of the defense, looked for a forward pass and looked to support that pass, always making himself available for a return. he was massively solid and hardly ever gave the ball away. He will be a quality addition to the side.
Sam Matthews: A very busy player - was played in a wide position but looked to come inside a lot. Had an eye for a pass but didn;t always execute from tight positions. He also had an eye for goal although again didn;t always threaten the goal. Very busy and industrious - definitely a DC type of player that will give his all to the shirt. Good signing and will become better and better.
Alex Rodman: we didn;t play the sort of game that allowed him to shine in the second half - BUT massively competitive and his experience shone through. Another good signing.
Gavin Reilly: Great movement and speed at the sharp end. He missed a couple of sharp chances but he Could work very well with EH if he stays - promising signing.
I am sorry I can;t go tonight - it would be really interesting to see the side against a slightly better organised opposition. Oi would also be good to get an insight on who we see as a starting XI.
Any comments from the forum on tonights performance will be much appreciated.
PS: anyone have any idea why DC wasn;t at Melksham - some of the rumours going around at half time were quite scary.

Maybe DC gave MS the reigns for the day as he was having a day with his wife, or better still trying to persuade Ronaldo that Juventus is not where he belongs but plying his trade at the Mem on £99 a week
