So, we are on our way to be a modern club, appearing in a 19th century tip of a ground. Meanwhile the training ground is getting harder by the day, certainly too hard for tent pegs We could be in for a cash windfall. Apparently there is going to be a hay shortage due to there not being a second hay cut this year due to the grass being dead. The Colony hasn’t had the first cut yet so time to cash in.

Met Keith on many occasions over the years, a good guy, funny and a passionate gashead. I am surprised he resigned though. Reading much of what has been posted on here, I get the feeling he resigned because he objected to change, at the same time his employers did not necessarily want him to leave. I am surprised he left then given all the time he has put in over and above his paid role. The story he told my son and I outside of Tranmere's ground about the challenge of ordering post match pizzas up there for the players still makes me laugh. But there you go. Perhaps that story tells you the degree to which the club has changed. That its not appropriate for the pregramme editor to be responsible for post match player feeding, and pizzas even less so. Yes it was fun, it was great to have really good blokes like Keith giving his all. But was it the highest degree of professionalism that we must aspire to? Each member here can make their own decision. You say everyone can make their own decision, but only after you've made assertions that Keith wasn't that professional. Hardly an unbiased way of putting it. 🙄 Learn to read. I am intimating "The Process" was Unprofessional. Keith was just an employee trying his best

It was about Keith & he 100% resigned. Not retired or sacked. This is not good news It’s not good news because I think the majority of us like Keith but if the blokes resigned then it’s his choice then unless anyone knows the reason why and wants to share then its between him and the club. Hardly reason for crisis. Although I completely understand what makes this forum tick and can completely understand why it has caused uproar amongst the masses who know nothing about it what when or why. Gaschat , it should be called Meltdown chat.

The world is burning and people are worried if KB is or is not our press officer ~ that's right, press officer. Pages of speculation ffs That's a very shallow view. People are worried not so much about his going, more about the manner of his going and what it says about the way the new order is running the club.

The club's Head of Media Keith Brookman has left the club, after a dedicated and passionate 21 years of service.
Keith originally began as a programme contributor from about 1992, producing content for every edition up until 1997, at which point he became a full-time Rovers employee under the role of programme editor.
He later took on the roles of summarising on BBC Radio Bristol and becoming the club's Press Officer/Head of Media.
Keith built up an esteemed reputation for producing an award-winning matchday programme, increasing the content from 48 pages to 64 and then to 84.
He also worked very closely with the first team, travelling with them to all away games and acting as an unofficial player and staff liaison officer, assisting with tickets, travel and food.
As a result, Keith was the main port for communications between Darrell Clarke and the press, whilst also interviewing the Manager himself countless times for the matchday programme and website.
Darrell had this to say on Keith's departure from his position at the club; "Keith was an integral part of the staff at here at the club and you'd struggle to find someone with more commitment and love for Bristol Rovers.
"He's been here ever since I started working at the club and he will be sorely missed by everyone at the Memorial Stadium.
"He's become a personal friend of mine in the time that I've been here and it'll certainly remain that way despite his departure.
"We all wish him well for the future and hope to see him back at the Mem as a fan at some point."
The club would like to extend it's greatest thanks for all of Keith's hard work and effort over the years and wish him well for the future.

A fire burning in Athens and plastic polluting the Dominican Republic beaches is very sad I’ll admit and something must be done, but Keith Brookman has left our beloved BRFC and that is a very sad day for every gashead. I do hope we hear him on BBRB still as his passion for the commentary was similar to that of Colin Howlett all those years ago.

Keith was brilliant, very professional and a very big part of Bristol Rovers. The programme is amazing and all the other duties he carried out were first class, at times it was almost like their was a triple person as he had so many roles. I first met Keith 18 years ago, my wife had been very ill with acute myeloid leukaemia and was in recovery. Our two boys 5 and 7 were made mascots, we had a truley amazing day, 18 years later my wife is well, he made us feel very special. Since then I have been involved in coaching and have organised several coaches to Bristol Rovers, lots of the lads have become Weston Gasheads. Keith will be missed.

UTG12 has wrote words on an internet forum, referred to it as evidence and claimed it's 100% true. Zzz. I'm not gonna read through 20 odd pages of bullshit so here's my take on what I've read. TG has decided the programme could be done elsewhere. Okay not good to not consult KB but everything TG has touched so far has turned to gold. KB wasn't happy and offered his resignation. The club have tried to work with KB to re-accomodate him at the club and find another/allow him to continue certain roles. KB declined. Yes KB was Rovers through and through but jheeze so am I and the club don't even employ me so what's the fuss? Everyone's replaceable. The club is moving in the right direction off the pitch for the first time in my life time and yet it seems some people would prefer we were poorly ran rag ads Rovers forever. UTG12 just seems like another sh** stirring "incider". very very sad indictment of your feelings and unwillingness to look at evidence. people on here ask for real info, but when they get it, they cry hoax. I am a very dedicated BRFC fan and helper, and poster on here elsewhere, who has a truth to tell. Keith did not deserve to be treated like this.It was wrong. if that really is the club you want, then well done, but I'm not going to let it happen without at least most of the truth being told. i write most because I won't give out details that are more personal.
