That's a very dark and lonely place where you are Oldie. I have no wish to go there again to meet you. People are telling you to f**k off now making you even lonelier. I doubt you will take a look at yourself as your condescending attitude is a defence against your inferiority. odd. Seemed a very measured and valid response in the circumstances

We don't moderate this area as we always assume people can moderate themselves and am not doing so now but.....
I really cant be arsed to decide he rights and wrongs here, but it would be nice if we could draw a line under it and move on to actually talk about the OP of the threads being discussed.
No one is coming out of this looking good at the moment.

So, Labour finally come out as a Remain Party! Sort of. Their policy is still a bit puzzling, as in if they win a GE, they have said they will negotiate a 'new deal' and then put that new deal to the electorate.....but where do they stand then? Do they campaign to support their newly negotiated deal, or campaign to Remain?
I can't wait to hear Barry Gardner explain all of this.

To appear more disorganised and conflict ridden than the Tories. No mean achievement that.

Ah, the Labour position is now crystal clear. While in Opposition they are Remain. If in Government they become a Brexit party. A classic case of how to lose votes.

So, the top jobs in the EU have now been filled. Christine Lagarde (62) is the new Head of the ECB. Not bad for a woman who has a conviction in a 400 million case, and especially not bad for someone who is not even an Economist nor a Banker. Ursula Von Der Leyen (60) is another EU President. She's not too bad, but her time as Defence Minister in Germany has been awful. Charles Michel (44), yet another failed politician from Belgium......Belgium FFS! Josep Borrell (72) Spanish foreign minister, recently found guilt of Insider Trading.
One thing stands out, the fact that NONE of them were on any ballot papers at the recent European Elections!
It's a good job we are getting out of it.

As for the Irish Border..... "The Irish Government has published a document this afternoon on the latest state of their Brexit planning. If there is no deal, they say that various checks on UK imports will be necessary “to preserve Ireland’s full participation in the Single Market and Customs Union”, but – surprise, surprise – these checks don’t need to happen at the border itself. Confirming what everybody knew at the very start of the negotiations before the issue was deliberately blown out of all proportion…" The problem being though that the Irish Protocol is not the only problem with the WA. If Johnson thinks he can get the WA through with the Backstop taken out it'll be a huge mistake and will be the end of him and the Tory Party. Order-Order

Serious question, and what happens if something isn't right?

It's a good job we are getting out of it. I never voted for Mervyn King or Mark Carney King and Carney were both appointed by a democratically elected government. I assume with the BoE references you are referring to Lagarde? The issue with her is that she is a recently convicted criminal who is not qualified for the position of Head of the ECB. She is a Lawyer, not an Economist or Banker. Mervyn King was very good at his job at the BoE. Carney appears to be good at his job, but talks political nonsense. He is the top candidate to replace Lagarde as the Managing Director of the IMF.

The Irish Document states quite clearly that checks will be made 'away from the border'. so not defined then, just "Away from the border" It's an Irish document. Basically no need for a 'hard border'. Checks will be made at place of production/manufacture/warehouses etc. So we've been told lies by the Irish/EU regarding the Irish Border. Who would have thought it eh?

Luke was being a pillock. There was only one candidate for the 'EU election'. Even then she only scrapped home by a few votes. It's a travesty of Democracy and yet another example of the undemocratic way the EU works. Seriously, do you think the way she got the job was democratic?

So if she was rejected by the MEPs she still would have got the job
