would just prefer a we haven’t got any money than we’re doing this and that then silence, the fans deserve better Sorry I'm a bit confused now, do you want them to sell up or just be more communicative? I wish they would communicate a bit more, I think we are all various levels of frustrated, particularly around the situation of the stadium and training ground, although I think Hamer attempted to answer that in a reply to someone's email (sorry, can't remember the thread now), by saying that the regime were probably overenthusiastic at the start by communicating too openly what was happening before it was definite. Having been burned they are now erring on the side of caution, by saying nothing. Somewhere in the middle would probably be best. i think if they told you truth the fans would be saying why buy the club then

Why’s he being treated like *****? Serious question. Most managers in the bottom two leagues would be delighted with a 3 year contract (3 years left of a 5 year one), the backroom staff he has and the development squad. So we don’t spend a lot of money, not many do in leagues 1 and 2. I dont feel sorry for him, he is working with owners I suspect he’s quite happy with even if he gets frustrated at times. He’s allowed to manage the way he wants and I think he manages in a very personal way with a lot more power than many managers have. Yes, he has bad times, last November was one and at the moment the worry over our strikers is obviously causing frustration and annoyance but he will get two strikers in (they might be less than he wanted and from lower leagues, even non league but he’ll get them) and will then start to work his magic and a few wins will change the mood. UTG!

The rich American consortium lurking in the shadows and ready to take us over. Who else? House of Fraser? We're not called ragbag rovers for nothing.

Really hope at least 1 in tomorrow. Team will do shape for Posh tomorrow, so newbies need to train ideally with them for that. Hope Bradford aren't hijacking anything we have lined up.

Blimey gas 1970, watching DC do an interview or radio forum is like going to the theatre, you see a performance. He never gives anything away and takes the p*** out of half the people watching. It’s what he does, he’s earns the right to do it. But it’s what he does. Yes he’s frustrated but I don’t see any real unhappiness. I expect him to be very busy over the next few days, won’t have time to do any interviews, I hope. UTG!

DC said on Monday night he hoped to have two players in this week, then SH (OK, don't laugh!) told BidefordGas(?) in an email we would sign two strikers this week, although they could well be in the building and just waiting to be announced at our usual Thursday press conference. Although the likes of Doidge, Cole etc haven't moved yet so it may well go to the wire, but Wyke and Doyle have both moved today. He said two signings by the end of the window at the fans forum, so he has til next Thursday. Can't see it personally. Your point is what exactly? BidefordGas will have reported his information accurately and in good faith, of that I have not the slightest doubt. Dealing in factual information is to be commended and well worth a try occasionally! Why not have a go yourself instead of just picking holes in a post from someone who is clearly better informed than yourself.

He’ll never appear totally happy even if you gave him the sausage roll money as well. DC loves to give out the aura of the underdog and give the impression “my budget’s is bottom half” but we’ll do our best. That’s DC and probably why we love him (well all except Midland that is) 😉 UTG!

DC said he was going to "make a move" for a striker at the start of this week, not announce a signing. "Mark Cooper says Forest Green Rovers have not received any offer for striker Christian Doidge" so that's Doidge also off the list, I wonder where DC got the £75OK valuation from for Doidge. Just to clarify, I emailed Steve Hamer late on Monday night. He replied to me the following morning Tuesday at 1000. I copied his email word for word and put it on this forum. He answered all the points I had put to him and was hopeful replacements for Ellis would sign yesterday but obviously could not be certain of this. I for one remain hopeful that we are doing all we can to bring in what we need. I could have kept quiet and not said anything or just speculated like many on here do. I chose to email the Chairman with my concerns and publish what was said on this forum. It's up to individuals on here to believe what they want to, I for one am quite happy to believe what Steve Hamer told me. UTG!

So if the worst case scenario that people are imagining came to pass and the recruitment team failed to pull off any more permanent signings before the transfer deadline but did, however, manage to effect the season long loan of some serious firepower from the Championship, or higher, would that really be a problem?

DC said he was going to "make a move" for a striker at the start of this week, not announce a signing. Ok, so maybe we have trouble with signings because his chat-up lines are a bit awkward.. It could be his accent?
