Was never a fan of Moore, but was surprised at broom going as he appeared to just be getting somewhere. Didn't dc say he was the one player he thought might come back to bite him? It does seem a mistake given how things have worked out, but if he was here he'd probably be warming the bench whilst others struggle for form anyway! Where is Broom now and how is he getting on? I always viewed him as someone with a great attitude but limited abilities - probably destined for conference label at best in the longer term. Top scorer for Cheltenham (with two goals!). Don't know whether he'd have made a difference, wouldn't be a world beater but might of added something in our current predicament, after all we've only managed 9 goals in 13.

3 good players gone in one window ! Um lucky we did not lose any more in previous transfer windows did we ! What’s that 5 good players gone Browner told DC that he was leaving in APRIL. Gaffney left and we signed no one for 5 weeks. It's no good saying we lost our best players, because we get players from other clubs as well. It's a merry go round accept DC was last to get on

I don't think Salford will be staying very long in the National League with the amount of money they're spending on the squad and stadium. I can see why Rory chose to step down two leagues with their potential and a decent pay rise. I didn't see much to cheer about him myself, as a L1 player, but he should do really well there. Good luck to him. Think about this, how many games did he start for us last season? So far I think he has missed ONE at Salford That's the real issue, was unlucky not to get more game time at the start of last season, dc said it himself, but it was understandable when Ellis was doing so well, but not surprising that he wanted out after sitting watching Nichols for so long!

Given we've struggled since Holloway departed to sign decent Div 1 players there does seem a bigger club issue than just DC's recruitment ability.

I’d have Bryon Moore and Ryan Broom in the squad at the moment, that’s how desperate the situation has got.
The jury is still out as to whether Gaffney is better than Jakubiak but I think I’d rather have a player who’s proven to score in this division for us over a strikeforce of unknowns.
For me a striker and another winger in January are essential to us staying up, a lot of players need to step up their game too.

The right player moved on, the wrong players replaced him, Trollope did the same thing last time we were relegated from this league. Didn’t disagree with who moved on but all replaced with worse players

Rory is playing 2 tiers lower so is obviously gonna show up better there, also think we were hasty in getting rid of Moore just as he was starting to win over the fans , i believe our current strikers would have benefited from his ability to beat a man and get a decent cross in, something the current crop just dont seem to be able to do, also notice Ryan Brunt is making a name for himself at Bath, all be it 3 tiers lower but to me he was better in the role than Payne and scored a few , or is my memory tainted by 'that' goal agin Barnet!
