Scrap that, didn't Branston score on his debut with his first touch? First touch yes.Header in a 3-3 draw with Bradford. We loaned him from the only team below us in the league at the time-Aldershot. He helped get us out of a pickle though.

Mr Nichols seems to have 2 games to avoid the unwanted stat of 'not having scored for a year'.
Last goal = 31st October 2017.
You can do it Tom!! 👍

When you think about Nichols’ barren run, I can’t help thinking that looking back we were a bit hard on Luke James. He only started 10 league games for us. Our whole team has only scored 4 goals in the last 10 games!

I think.

Purely in terms of goals to minutes we can't have had a worse striker ever can we? Including last nights game, in all competitions, Nichols has started 32 games for us and made a further 28 appearances from the bench, so 60 games in total. He has scored 2 goals and made 2 assists.

Based on this list of Rovers players, then probably yes en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Bristol_Rovers_F.C._players_(25%E2%80%9399_appearances)The worst record by a player marked as a FW is A. Rodgers with 0 in 28 games from 1909-11 The worst by a FW to have scored at least once is Thomas Lea with 1 goal in 49 games from 1922-24 Also, Harold Boxley is marked as a MF/FW and had 0 in 47 from 1920-23 Nichols has 1 in 51 league games, but a lot of those are subs whereas you can assume that the above players played 90 minutes for all their appearances back then. Nichols has played the equivalent of about 29 90 minute games. Purely on goals you could say he is our worst striker in 94 years, or worst post-war striker.

Nichols has played the equivalent of about 29 90 minute games. Purely on goals you could say he is our worst striker in 94 years, or worst post-war striker. Nichols has played 52 league games for us.
He has started 28 of these league games.
He has scored 1 league goal made 2 league assists. He has played in league games 2148 minutes from starting games = 35 hours and 48 minutes of football from starting games. This includes the extra minutes played before half and full times. This means he averages just over 76 minutes of football from these 28 league games that he has started from.
He has played 24 league games from the bench. He has scored 0 league goals and made 0 assists from the bench. He has played in league games 662 minutes from the bench = 11 hours and 2 minutes of football from the bench. This includes the extra minutes played before half and full times.
This means he averages just over 27 minutes of football from these 24 league games from the bench.
Overall, just league games: 52 games = 28 starts and 24 subs, he's played 2810 minutes = 46 hours and 50 minutes on the pitch scoring just 1 goal and making just 2 assists.
Now add the other games too.
He has also played in 4 EFL Cup games, 1 FA Cup game and 3 EFL Trophy games.
In these games, he has started 4 of them playing 337 minutes, this includes the extra minutes played before half and full times = 5 hours and 37 minutes. He scored 1 goal and made 0 assists from starting in these 4 games. He also made 4 sub appearances playing 114 minutes, this includes the extra minutes played before half and full times = 1 hour and 54 minutes. He scored 0 goals and made 0 assists from the bench.
So overall, in all competitions, 60 games in total. 32 starts and 28 sub appearances. Scored 2 assisted 2.
He has played 41 hours and 25 minutes from starting these 32 games. He has played 12 hours and 56 minutes from the subs bench in 28 games. Total: 54 hours and 21 minutes played in a Rovers shirt in all competitions. Averaging 54 minutes per appearance.
Just a side note, he has only managed to start and actually finish a match on just 6 occasions. 5 of these were league games.

In short he’s not a goal scorer. His career stats must be better though, otherwise we would not have signed him.

Just noticed that after the Oxford win we have a positive away goal difference as well as a better away than home record just past the halfway point of the season. Can anyone remember the last time this happened?

Are we sh!t for not scoring or, were getting in to good positions and attempting to score but are unlucky?

We'll I'm of the opinion that we were just unlucky, others may differ though. I don't think we have a bad squad at all.
