Why does Mr Clueless keep playing Nichols and Upson? What do yo expect we will be relegated with players like that.

DC has for the last few years recruited badly, Byrne is a classic example. From Middlesboro to York city who currently sit in National league Div North. Many years ago Bobby Gould said to me, a lot of players at Rovers are one step away from non league, one or two are one step away from the championship.

The confidence this is frustrating.
Hearing players go on the radio and say they have no confidence doesn't bode well. If they aren't feeling confident, then players should make way for one's that have more character. After 4 games not what you want to hear.

If players come out and say they haven't got confidence then they surely are in the wrong profession with the wrong leader. Perhaps it is a sly way of saying they have no0 confidence i8n the way they are being asked to play!

The way we set up at the moment is Dam mental.Luton press us on the edge of our own penalty area and either nick the ball or force a hoof upfield in the general direction of Payne, who has a defender in front and another tight up his arse! Meanwhile we let Luton advance 10 yards inside our own half before any sort of engagement is attempted. Its not very difficult to expect, and indeed garner, zero possession in the opponents half. Its like watching a training session of attack v defence for 90 minutes, and its embarrassing.Martin and Bennett having a slanging match half the time,O.Clarke,in frustration deciding he would press by himself on a couple of occasions then having a head fit when none of ours back him up.We are all over the shop and I think it stems from the lack of trust in the defenders selected, whoever they might be,to nullify the opposition attack without our midfield more than 5 yards in front of them. This negative play is growing as each game passes,we are sh** scared to launch attacks! Surely DC can see this though? Or is he so watered off with the off field situation he is mentally shot right now? These tactics will very quickly send us to rock bottom in the table and simply can't continue.btw I don't want DC gone but unless he can lift the black gloom descending on his players and himself, one way or another he will be out pretty soon.

I’ve been thinking about Saturday (and the few other games I’ve seen). What worries me is that the things that can be fixed are not the problem. I don’t see a lack of effort or desire. I don’t think it’s all down to the manager and tactics either. We have lost our best players and not been able to replace them. We simply do not have the squad. We have no fire power or flair up front. The 11 minutes of injury time may as well have been 111 minutes - it was so obvious we had zero chance of scoring. If we can’t score then we are in serious trouble no matter how much we battle and huff and puff. I hope I am wrong but I don’t think anything can be rectified until January. I don’t want DC to go and don’t even think Klopp could turn things around at the moment with the current squad. Perhaps some kind of good news or clarity off the field would galvanise things?
... and I’m a happy clapper rose tinter, so things must be bad!
