Oh dear, could be a few red faces ! There is a big difference between shouting out the n-bomb and and calling him a malteser. I thought the same last night, it wasn't because I hate black people, it wasn't targeting him because he's black, its because he had a shiny bald head. Not the brightest thing to shout out in a crowd in todays climate, but it doesnt mean there is any hate and it doesn't mean it should be national news. EDIT: Brown is on the TV now saying the guy was abusing him for 7 minutes, which is different to what someone who was stood near has said. Before these things get flying around in the media, it should be established what was actually said.

Better protip: Read what I have written and you will see that I have criticised the fans who racially abused the keeper. I have never defended them. Please show me where I have done? > I do think the keeper overplayed it. > Let's not forget this bloke has broadcast it all over twitter as well. He has overplayed it. > Glad someone can speak their own mind rather than feeling the need to go along with what is politically correct. > I don't understand why racial abuse is put on a pedestal as being so much worse than other abuse. > Just think the keeper could man up. To me it's know different that cinstantly calling a keeper a fat bastard. I could go on? Perhaps its my upbringing but i dont see the need to abuse someone for being bald , fat, black or whatever really. Just enjoy a game of football and cheer on your team. Dont see what was wrong with the old dodgy keeper chants without the need of abusing someone. As for the keeper over reacting or one type of abuse being worse then another i guess its how it makes the person being abused feel. If i called a colleague at work who was black and bald a malteser head i would be in poo

"Get over it son" ? Arrogant i think so. Of course you can have opinions i think we've all seen your opinions on racism, unfortunately i and others have to accept that's who and what you are. My point if you read it was your original "song and dance" comments which sparked off your defence mechanism. on that point you were WRONG, plain simple you were wrong. Dartfords GK was following rules. He was RIGHT and not making a "song and Dance" over it. Well you do need to get over it. I accept other people's opinions on this thread so why can't you accept mine? I find what you are saying very offensive to be honest. What do you mean by who and what I am? I believe he was making a song and dance because he was in the middle of a football match and should have been concentrating on the game, he then went even further by writing constant tweets. My opinion is my opinion, it's not right, it's not wrong. Same goes for your opinion. Tell me the arrogance in that? [br Your opinion is so far out of date and unreasonable that is why it can't and shouldn't be accepted.

I can't recall when Jason Lee(?) was called "pineapple head" it was ever considered racist? I would suggest that because it's his hair and not his skin, it would be considered different. But I don't find calling him a malteser, in the context quoted, was much worse. Now, was it that or far worse? Needs to be established.

I can't recall when Jason Lee(?) was called "pineapple head" it was ever considered racist? Having a stupid haircut isn't anything to do with race. However, times have changed as have attitudes and the things that most people in society will tolerate. The over sexulizatuon of women is more acceptable now, racism isn't. Just because something was ok 10yrs ago doesnt make it so now. I can understand Centenary raising the point that nothing has yet been proven. I was in the Dribuild, so didn't hear anything, but I could hear and see the keeper getting some grief, whistles jeers and such and he looked to be a good sport about it, but something clearly happened to make that change.

You know what! When this thread started I was waiting for KP to come on and say it had happened to him. It seems that whatever happens at the Mem it has happened to him. Do you want us all to feel sorry for you KP? You don't go anymore so don't worry. Being Welsh I've put up with it all my life ( remember Abervan) but I don't make it an objective in life to say hey guys look at me I've overcome this as well. With regard to last night, if these people did what is suggested they must get a life ban. However, nobody has yet said they heard anything, and I find it hard to understand how the keeper heard it with the noise of the crowd. More relevant, how did he know who said it. Was he watching the crowd instead of the game? I felt he wanted to be the centre of attention, instead of doing the correct thing which was to call over the ref let him tell security and let them and the police deal with it. One last point, were there any police there? I feel quite sad for you if that was what you were waiting for. It's something I have dealt with now and, as my username will tell you, I am proud to have my bloodline. Hey, I have lived a very full life, could tell you thing you would not believe but that's by the by. I feel strongly about it and, of course, cannot forget the night when I was attacked, as it stuck with me. You don't forget these things and I got every single one of them, one on one, walking home from pubs, outsude their workplaces and at their homes. Each of us has had varying life experiences. I am glad you have not had the same. It left me feeling very betrayed and conflicted for years. The duality is not an easy thing but it is what is. Going back to the post, I am vehemently against ANYTHING so prejudicial. Maybe you could make a list of topics you feel I would join in on and I'll do my best to satiate your urges. This is exactly why racist abuse is so wrong. It breeds these sorts of actions - no one should be abused phyiscally or verbally - racism breeds hatred and violence. It can also result in those targeted being held back in their careers or progress in life. It is totally demeaning. That's why the vast majority of people on this forum can see why what hapened last night is so wrong. ggmi - as long as there are people like you who try to make light of situatoins like this we will never rid society of this problem

I think in fairness GGMI hasn't condoned racism as such, just that in the context of football the person on the receiving end should just get on with it.
It's not a million miles away from what the head of FIFA said!

Abuse is abuse.
