By complete co-incidence my article in the BRFC programme on Saturday was about Chris, as I believe that with his next appearance he will become the Rovers player with the most senior appearances this Millennium. Absolute nonsense, Exocets aren't laser guided. They are not....but the stuff that hit the inside of my underwear 36 years ago certainly was....😖

Your are either fit enough to be on the bench and field or you are not. We could have put Luke Russe on the bench, and had Snow Whites complete set I think if the same thing happened to you that Linesy is going through, you could probably turn up to work and do a job, but you wouldn't want to carry the company on your shoulders. Same applies here. Get behind him, let him deal with it and he will be ok in a few weeks again. I guess he's still in the squad as the boss still trusts him just in case something happens to Sercs or Upson. You have no idea at all about all the things that have happened to me during my life, but when I had problems, and told my employer they said go home and when you feel ready come back. they didn't say come on and sit on a chair.

And you have no idea what’s going on in linsey’s life exactly ?

At the end of the day if he’s got personal problems then the clue is in the sentence. Personal. That should be the end of it.

Absolute nonsense, Exocets aren't laser guided. I wouldn't describe the 'No buy, No sell' team of the 1950's as infamous either. Famous maybe, fabulous almost certainly, but infamous? I don't think so. I would have to o disagree with attaching legendary status to Campbell as well. After his disloyal knifing of Penney I would prefer the term Pariah. You can trace our subsequent relegation back to him. Just an alternative view.

I have no idea why you are being so black and white about this. Obviously he was either benched because of DCs plan or he was not 100% but still able to do a job if required so worth having as a back up. That happens all the time with players. Obviously this is obvious.

Re penney - yes, because I am going to write that in the official programme aren't I? 🤔😂. Anyway, it wasn't a hagiography of his life - it was about the longevity / appearances & trying to bring some positivity when there isn't a lot of it around.

From what I saw in games under Penney at least three players, Campbell, Lines and Anthony put no effort in whatsoever under Penney as to undermine him for their own conclusions. The fruitation of that under Campbell was shambolic football at its best. They should’ve been shown the door not Penney for their contempt of BRFC and it’s supporters.

Looking forward to the Campbell/Penney argument flaring up for the 748th time on a Rovers forum.
