Club acted quickly in this case. Stefan Payne has apologised. Best to move on and hope SP can take something positive from it. UTG! Agreed and hopefully he’ll kick on and become a better player for it. Amongst all this I’d imagine DC has sat him down in his office and told him what he expects from him and if he respects DC and himself as a professional footballer he’ll roll his up and go out to prove a point. It could go the other way of course time will tell.

All the fans need to give him a chance to 'right a wrong' as it were, but no doubt certain fans will be slagging him off inside 30 seconds of him being on the pitch next time

Well I'm not saying its right but he would have brought it on himself by reacting.
Things happen in the spur of the moment but he should have been big enough to just ignore it.
