Nigel Martin. Jim Eadie. Bernard Hall. I think if his career had not ended so suddenly, he would have gone on to be a legend.

John O’Rourke the Middlesbrough CF who accidentally caused the injury that New Years Day played for Bournemouth and became a newsagent down here when he finished. Sadly he passed away about 2 years ago. UTG!

No-one has mentioned Kevin Miller. I thought he was tidy.

Nigel Martyn ... a default for everyone regardless of age, or it should be. Brian Parkin was widely recognised as the best keeper outside the top flight, the back pass rule change must have been difficult fopr any keeper to adjust to. Third choice could e one of many, Neil Etheridge, Jack Bonham, Fraser Forster, Mikkel Anndderrssonn was a great shot stopper and an all round fans' favourite but not too sure his all round game would put him in the top three.

All good keepers. And of course it depends on age and date when you first started to watch Rovers. 50s, 60s and 70s most of our keepers were pretty good. Some in these later years have been not so good. UTG!

There are numerous impressive achievements on there, yet he doesn't ever seem to have settled or established himself anywhere. his most appearances at any club are with us? Appears to have just moved down to 2nd Tier in Denmark and signed a three year deal with Lyngby who were relegated last season.

I agree about Martyn. He stands head and shoulders above any goalkeeper I’ve seen for the Gas. Palace and Leeds fans voted him their best ever keeper and he was outstanding for Everton late on in his career. He was really unlucky not to have been England’s number 1 for 10 years.

This is pretty difficult for me. We've had so many since I been watching and I feel our best have always been loanee's. Here is my top 3 but not in order. Jack Bonham Fraser Forster Mikkel Andersen Special mention to Joe Lumley, Neil Etheridge, Conrad Logan and Steve Phillips. Of course there are other keepers who have been mentioned from yesteryear but thats before my time. Parking was my first keeper and I feel the 7 I have mentioned are much better keepers. Similar: - Fraser Forster Mikkel Andersen Joe Lumley
Special mention to Neil Etheridge and Steve Phillips.

I remember Fraser Forster struggling and looking uncomfortable in his first appearance against Orient in 2009 where we lost 2-1. Who would have thought 2 of our starting 11 would have been part of our World Cup squad 5 years later?!
