When I went to my daughters graduation at UWE the Chancellor was really enthusiastic about going into partnership with Rovers, he clearly didn't have a clue that the club were going to pull the carpet from underneath UWE feet. The club were to blame for the UWE collapse I had a letter from the Chairman 4 months before the collapse which said that plan b was to lmprove the Men and didn't sound at all hopeful about UWE. I wouldn't know one way or another. But I am claiming someone is claiming one way AND the other. Fixed that for you

Everyone is battering in about Brentford's new stadium but maybe a bit of perspective is needed, 70 million, for a 17,500 seater stadium, that's hardly big enough to be sustainable in the championship let alone the premiership and by the looks of the photos it's had to be squeezed in next to a railway line, so the corner has been chopped off and therefore won't be able to be extended. It shows where football is these days that 70 Million buys you a top end league 1 stadium. There are some fantastic smaller new stadiums in Germany that cost nowhere near 70 million ! Here is the Offenbach Kickers Stadium. Holds 20,500 and cost about 22 million quid

I thought they were working on The Colony plans, or was that just another smoke screen, as I doubt we ever really had plans to develop it once the UWE talks failed. It sounds to me the ALQ's pulled any further investment once the UWE talks ended, if so, why don't they just advertised that the club is for sale rather than let it die a slow death whilst costing them (or us?) a £1+ p.a. According to Hamer they budgeted 2 million for a training ground then realised it would cost them 8. If they can't afford 8 million for a training ground do you really think they had the clout to build us a 30 million stadium? It is becoming more and more clear that Wael wanted a nice little club to run based on an evolution model of spending little to no money and eventually relying on a development squad to fit out the first team. I highly doubt they ever intended to build the UWE and obfuscated the negotiations by changing the design and being generally belligerent and uncooperative "Should have gone to Jordan" etc leading to the relationship being untenable and DS being left with their nice little club going nowhere and the UWE looking like the bad guys. What actually happened was they got 2 companies in to estimate for the Cat 3 ground with all the offices. The quotes came in at a smidge under 11m. Both companies quoted almost identical costs. The reply from Hani was, tell them to build it for £3m. It was then explained that £3m would get you all the ground works, some basic changing and office facilities and 4 pitches. That’s when Hamer started his BS about how they would start small and grow as they needed. The truth was Hani wasn’t prepared to write the cheque for what Darrel asked, mainly because they massively underestimated the running costs of the club. Blind management is what you call it.

Again, how is this different from the Higgs era? Higgs had a fairly conceivable plan and half an idea. Wael and Hamer have no plan and absolutely no idea.

I don’t recall having that opinion and think you have got me confused with someone else, I don’t need to check because I know you will go and check your dossier on my postings for me so I’ll let you waste your own time (for all the use it will achieve) so I don’t have to waste any more of mine. My opinion on prospective owners has been that there was likely to be something happening, now probably not as the rumours have all dissipated...but I still won’t fully discount it as I’m sure it won’t happen overnight and there is due diligence to be done, knowall may surprise us all and be right. But I don’t recall ever having an opinion on the UWE providing an obstacle to any new owners. As you know I’ve been sceptical of DS for a very long time and so far they haven’t let me down. Interestingly everyone else now appears to be waking up to the realisation that they have no plan, no money and no direction. Opinion has turned in the wake of yet another interview with a DS puppet who last night had nothing substantial to say and wouldn’t categorically state that there would be money available in January. If it’s a choice between them or the UWE, I know who I would sooner believe.Apart from when you're saying UWE have tried to stitch up our new owners. Pretty sure that was BS5 who said that, I suggest you get your facts write before making false allegations. Anyway your loyalty towards the owners is looking as poor a judgment tonight as suggesting earlier in the week Nichols should be dropped, when to most of us he's the best striker left at the club.
