Thanks to everyone who has signed so far. If you haven't yet then please do as more signatures will make the board take more notice. Here is the email I've sent to Steve Hamer this afternoon: Hi Steve, I hope you had a good Christmas and New Year. I'm writing to you today to present this open letter to the board signed by almost 1000 fans: www.change.org/p/wael-al-qadi-open-letter-to-the-board-of-bristol-rovers-football-clubThis letter clearly states out where we think the failings of the boards communication have been and where this can be improved. Since this petition was started we have had an update on the stadium and training ground which is a case in point about the communication issues. On the 23rd of December the club put out this statement: www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/2018/december/club-statement/ The timing, coming after a crucial win made supporters feel like it had been held back until there was some good news to report. It states that the club is working hard towards a site for the stadium and training ground which is good news in itself. However this contradicts statements about re-developing the Mem and it doesn't update supporters on the status of the Colony. If supporters were kept in the loop that you were holding off on developing the Colony while other sites are investigated then there would be a lot less frustration about it doing nothing except growing weeds. I am happy to speak to you over the phone or in person to speak about the above. Cheers Tom hey mate wael has his dm’s open on Instagram and reads them (he doesn’t always respond)!

If you like to believe in what they say great , that’s your prerogative, I happen to think they have absolutely no interest in sorting a new ground / revamped mem / new training ground. Excuse after excuse , delay after delay and it’s always someone else’s fault , DC said in his final interview that the ground / training ground wouldn’t be happening during his tenure ( obviously before him leaving ) his word was and would still carry more truth than our owners. Nothing would please me more than to be totally wrong, by the way , there is no need to reply to my post with such sarcasm as I’m only giving my opinion as you are yours Even though DC was lied regularly to the press, kept contradicting himself and probably new he was going to be sacked soon. Think we all knew we wouldn't have it, while he was manager at that stage. Unless it was already built underground lol I was half being sarcastic, half series. Do they just want to waist money?? As if you think they don't have any ambitions, that is what they are doing then?? Unless you think they are doing something. Paying millions a season, increasing costs without looking into things, makes no sense IMO. DC lied or was lied to? Not sure which you are implying. My view is, for all his faults, DC was ambitious and wanted the club to realise its potential. He was obviously sold a vision when he signed his new contract that just never materilised and he knew it never would. The up turn in results has bought the owners some time, but at some point they are going to have to come clean about their future plans.

Couple of observations: 1) Starnes being wheeled out for Darrell leaving doesn't mean Hamer has disappeared. They have different roles at the club and it looks like Starnes deals with the personnel & operating matters like who our manager is and acquisition of players these days. Hamer appears to deal with the future of the club e.g. ownership and stadium matters.2) The timing of the stadium and training ground announcement buried any form of meltdown or discussion regards what is going on with that. We've been so preoccupied with on the field matters we've not had a meltdown of epic proportions to draw Hamer out of his panic room. 3) Why would the Al Qadis still be around if they had no plans at all? They're haemorrhaging money and will continue to do so until these matters are resolved. If they haven't got the flavour to spend they may as well disappear now. What about match day commentary as that comes under neither of those headings? Hamer has completely disappeared, the stadium announcement was just made by a " club spokesperson" and Bryon Anthony, Newport's Head of Academy, was dug up from somewhere to do the Oxford commentary, it's all a bit odd, it'll be interesting to see if he makes a return tomorrow night. As far as the ALQ's still be around, I doubt it's easy to walk away from a loss making football club even if they wanted to, it'll now be interesting to see how much they spend, or don't spend, this month on new players. Keith Brookman tends to do home games only, I think because we/the BBC/both won't cover expenses for a third party commentator. I expect Walsall was because KB was there with it being a Boxing Day match. God knows why Byron covered the Oxford match but wasn't Steve ready to go until Byron turned up? Its not been long. Remember when Marcus covered Darrells press statements for a few weeks and everyone though DC had been gagged? Then turned up for the next press statement. Sometimes gasheads look into things in such a neurotic way.

If I don't hear anything this week, I'll try and get a hold of Starnes Steve Hamer has always replied promptly to emails I have sent. Would have expected him to reply this afternoon to at least acknowledge receipt of your email/ petition.

Sorry mate, I supported this and signed the letter but why send it to Hamer? May as well have wiped your arse with it and thrown it down the toilet Yes, it was a bit like Wael asked the Chairman to investigate the Ken Masters text messages.

He kept changing his mind about the budget etc. Not blaming DC, most manager's tell the press what they want then to hear and don't give a lot away. Just making the point, you can't always trust what DC had to say.

Atleast I give my opinion and back it up. Not just moan, without giving a reason. I'm only 50/50 on the board. I don't know what is happening. I won't say they are not trying though, unless I can back it up.

Exactly what a few are saying, Wael will have to come clean about progress of the pitch sooner rather than later, surely he doesn't think he and the board could get away with more of the same excuses/nothingness too much longer.

I fully expect you'll get a jumbled, confused, management speak email reply from Hamer that contains nothing that makes them accountable or provides any kind of deliverable but you will have conveyed the dis-satisfaction of 1,000 fans to the board which is a very important step. They can't say they weren't warned when the pitchforks eventually come out.

Taylor wasn’t sold for millions because his contract made sure of that, I don’t get your continued slagging off of DC and your defence of our owners who have shown themselves to be utter clueless as owners of Rovers.
