I'm sure you mean well Tutgas but I feel we are so far apart in our views. For example you are on a Bristol Rovers forum, but you hardly ever post about the team, the big issues that are happening at the present time. Your stance seems to be mainly about for example, society issues, minority groups, racism. It appears you are infiltrating this forum to fulfill your ideologies more than supporting the team which is what most of us do. You talk about diversity but then you promote seperate groups. Seperate is not diverse and imho doesn't work but just allienates those minority groups. I always believe 'one love' is the answer and I've worked with and have friends who are extremely diverse for many years. I enjoy and embrace their diversity. We are individuals who come together as one group. Seperate groups breed fear and mistrust imo. I am quite happy to meet you if you want to but I must say I don't have much confidence you will understand or even be open minded to actually understand my point of view. I don't mean that to be offensive or arrogant, I'm just being brutally honest that's me I guess, but at the end of the day rightly or wrongly my opinion. You say I am in the minority with my opinions, but isn't that what you are all about diverse opinions? It seems to me it's the minorities that you agree with that you support, not everyone's which is the true meaning of diversity. Wow this really is the spirit of Christmas, not! Al I do see your point and completely agree with your original point that the nameless of those in society that help the homeless and vulnerable every day are true heroes. However to take the stance that it is somehow bad to spread the word about what the club are so proudly doing which is doing their bit to help society and to raise awareness of important issues, is just bizarre in my opinion. Most people in society that are part of a majority, for example working class white heterosexuals who are in work, don't have to face racial discrimination on a regular basis and have homes to go to and their health, don't have to go through the same process of raising awareness for their well-being as they are not vulnerable minorities. This is generalised of course as everybody has their own problems of course, but in raising awareness a certain amount of prioritization must be done otherwise the BRCT would be calling on every door in Bristol lending a hand, which isn't feasible. Raising awareness on racial issues and trying to promote integration has gone a long way in society over the last century. I mean look at how far society has come since the 70s and 80s when racism and sexism was rife. Theres still work to be done although you'll never beat it as society is made of all sorts including those that will not integrate and I mean that on both sides, majorities and minorities. I for one am pleased that organisations such as the BRCT are doing their bit, as its all too easy to pretend it will sort itself out or that those that do it silently and heroically day in and day out don't want or need some help and promotion from time to time. Although I sense that we will not agree on this so I'll leave it there, and wish you and every Gashead a Merry Christmas! Yeah, the bloke in the vid obviously wanted us to help promote his service (on top of the help and food we're giving) and wanted to promote his spruce the goose campaign. I don't see how this isn't win-win (like our league form after Boxing Day).

it’s not about boasting, it’s just sharing information about what the club and community trust are up too. This forum is completely full of talk about lack of transparency from the club, yet as soon as the trust converse and share the work we do within the community you personally seem to chastise and belittle it. I would say the incredible support the players have received on all forms of social media for what they did may put you within a minority? As we are all currently hiding behind keyboards, and its Christmas, why don’t we meet up in the new year and you can help me figure out what we are doing wrong and how better get our message out. Your views are as important as the next man/woman and your views and opinions and very important. Shall I send you my direct number? All I hope to do is hear your views. Following your threads you seem very supportive of certain things we do, such as the mental health awareness evening yet so dismissive of others, please help us to understand. #UTG I'm sure you mean well Tutgas but I feel we are so far apart in our views. Maybe you should read it all again when you are in a better mood. Merry Christmas.
