I think GC is in the same boat as DC......He can only get someone in if he shifts someone out, and that is only a wage thing. I don't think there will be any money available for transfers. The other problem, as mentioned by GC, is that as he is only a Caretaker, he doesn't have any authority to sign players.......and the transfer window clock is already ticking. The owners have to make a decision, and make it very very quickly.

Max Power [Wigan - Sunderland] Undisclosed
Great signing that. Thats a signing that will bolster your chances of promotion and see you stay in the Championship should you make it.

Even if we ship anyone out, when will GC know what he has to spend. Will it involve Hamer travelling to London to meet with our owners to discover the budget. Nothing seems straightforward with our set up.

Nothing seems straightforward with our set up. I would have hoped the budget for the January transfer window would have already been sorted out. The main problem is who is going to be the Manager. Either it has to Be GC ( end of season anyway ) or a new man that has to be in place by this coming weekend in order that he has time to evaluate current squad and bring in new players.

Not sure signing any 18 yr old is anything to get excited about, wasn't Fabian Broghammer an ex Germany U18?

Joe Martin will leave and I expect Adam Smith will follow him out the door, considering he’s keen to leave and there is interest in him so that is a couple of players wages that we can potentially throw at a loan or two. Can’t see us paying any substantial fees but if we clear the decks of a couple I’m hopeful we will see 2-3 coming in.
