Charlton Athletic have signed Wales midfielder Jonny Williams from Premier League side Crystal Palace on a six month deal. Very good signing for this level. www.bbc.com/sport/football/46757814Incredible the quality some of the teams in this league are bringing in

We can only 'afford' what the owners are prepared to spend, and all the signs are that it is nothing ! But our wealthy, kind, honest, generous owners and the Chairman promised us a top six budget, or was that top sh*t budget?. He actually said a budget to challenge the top 6 clubs, top 8 looks easily achievable this season if DC hadn't wasted £600K on Nichols, Payne and Mensah rather than a couple of decent strikers

There seems a big gap between 7th and 8th.

That's what happens when you're not afraid to hand out 3 year deals to your best players - a gamble DC was always afraid to take, after he saw how it affected Ward's squad. It was Buckle and McGhee rather Ward who sign crap like Matt Gill and Adam Virgo to 3 year deals. Ward didn't help his case in signing Stephen Gillespie and Alan Glow in place of Elliott richards. Tbf It was more bad luck with Alan Gow. Who was to know he would break his leg. The problem was having a no recall clause which left us b*******. As player Gow was ok and played well up to his injury, imo. UTG!

Just a shame we never saw anything near the best of him.

A damn sight better season than watching us struggle in the bottom 4? Let's be honest until we get the ground sorted then getting into the top 6/promoted is pointless, fans thinking otherwise are living in a dreamworld.

Hopefully it won't take us too long to start moving players out in order for us to bring players in. Of course, Wael and family could always donate some money to fund transfers like the Scunthorpe owners are seemingly doing, but they aren't going to do that now, are they?

Yep, looks I've paid 50p extra for a cup of coffee all season for nothing

So with the Doidge transfer at Bolton seemingly having imploded then what's the likelihood that he's now picked up by someone in our division?

Derby are letting some good players on loan to L1 clubs. Luke Thomas at Coventry is another fantastic little player they have loaned out.

He can't be, he's already played for two teams this season apparently (well according to the BBC report which quotes Vince as saying he will be returning to them for that reason).

Shrewsbury Town have re-signed 43 cap Wales international Dave Edwards on a two-and-a-half year deal following his release by Championship side Reading. www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/46785460

After listening to GC’s interview I’m not expecting anyone coming in and the likes of Luke ruse/mayo to go out on loan, The budget was blown at the start of the season and I can’t see anything else happening til the summer depending on our league position

That's not how I saw it at all, GC clearly stated he wanted to bring players into the football club and that to make this happen players would be going out to get game time either before or after this occurs. Starnes also saying that he has met with GC, CH and TW to discuss our transfer plans also makes me thing that some movement will occur in January.
With where we are in the league and everyone around us making signings, we'd be foolish not to try our luck and bring a couple in to try and improve our situation.
