One of the UK's fastest growing Insurance Brokers. I wonder if in a few years one of the partners can sell there shares & become a billionaire, buy us out & then spend all his money on buying us a new stadium, knitting out a training ground & spend a fortune on players. Don't really give a monkeys about a big screen, but it can't all be due to suppliers surely? More likely the infrastructure at the Mem. I mean they can't get loudspeakers to work properly,so F##k knows what the signal to a big screen would be like.

Not that I believe quartered's post - but where is the official statement about anything really tbf www.bristolrovers.co.uk/news/2018/july/brunelpartnership/ this is the original news article, I doubt they are going to publish a follow up saying they what to ensure they are still in Div 1 next season before now installing it!! Thanks for that, only a good 7 months ago then. I guess with "The screen is set to be installed following the start of the season" they have until the last game this season to install it

Makes no odds what division we are in. It will still happen.I think most of us will believe that when it actually happens given that article is already well over 6 months old.

The burning question is, who holds the remote control. Or will we all get one.

Bristol Rovers are happy to announce that the club’s new pitchside big screen will be installed and operational in time for the club’s home game against Bradford City on Saturday, April 13th.
The club purchased the new 30sqm screen in July last year from Stadia Solutions, a leading international sports and entertainment agency that specialises in fully managed technology and media platforms, with the aim of having the screen installed next to the Brunel sponsored South Stand by the end of 2018.
Although the screen was delivered on time in October, due to its size a special bespoke support structure was required to attach the screen to the current steelworks at the stadium. Unfortunately, the unique nature of this structure led to various complications with Stadia Solutions’ sub-contractor, resulting in subsequent delays with installation.
This issue has now been resolved, with Stadia Solutions apologising to fans for the inconvenience caused and compensating both the club and screen sponsor for the delay.
Commercial Director, Tom Gorringe, stated, ‘As the fans are all very well aware, we have been waiting for a new big screen for quite some time now. I am happy and relieved, that a solution for the frame for the screen has finally been found and it will be installed in time for what is looking like a very exciting and crucial end to the season.’
The new screen will provide fans with an improved matchday experience by enabling the club to actively communicate, engage and share content with fans, in addition to increasing matchday revenues through sponsors and advertising.
Tom, went on to say, ‘We’d like to thank supporters for their continued patience and we look forward to seeing you all at the Mem tomorrow for our match with Sunderland!’.

Does anyone know if the screen will show the game / highlights or whether its just going to be for adverts, score, team lineups etc.
The comms from the club make me think its not going to show any highlights

We'll start doing that when the club start communicating a bit more with the fans and keeping them updated with what's going on behind the scenes, instead of fans just having to listen to chinese whispers via the forum, Anyway good to see MS answered my Q&A question with an update, just a pity it wasn't installed in time for tomorrow's big game.

I wonder if they'll take it down and install it in the New Stadium when it's built?
