Disgusted with the attendances last night. The fans are apparently just as weak about a potential Wembley appearance as the clubs were about cash bribes. Rovers attendance quoted as 2016, shame on every single one of you - you will get what you deserve, sadly, so will the rest of us. Sorry, I must of missed you at the gates last night making your case to fans as they entered the ground. I would have been interested to hear your argument. You feel so strongly I doubt you'd have sat at home in the warm typing away about your disgust.

I was in the car park after the game and all i could see was happy people, did not see any anti competition people at all

The cause is worthy and some people are prepared to do what they can to avoid our club falling in the shadow of U21 teams.

So you’ll happily treat Bristol city u21/u23/B team or what ever as a competitive game that we can only lose, and they can only win. 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏. Well done the 2000. Well done.

I dont feel shame for going at all. I went with my 11 year old who has endured a season of sh** and is on the verge of not bothering to go any more. She enjoyed this game more so much that she will probably stick it out for a while longer. Can the club afford to lose a young fan? I feel its not the black and white issue you suggest.

You are entitled to do what you want, don't slag others off for what they do. You have no more idea about what will happen than the rest of us, that's a fact and I will gladly accept you were right if and when it happens. For what it's worth I think it never will, but unlike you don't foist my views on others.

I think you'll find the missing majority speaks more volume than anything outside the ground would.

Just wanted to add that even if we get relegated, a Wembley trip would make her season.

So 2016 of us will somehow help FL league Chairman one day vote for allowing Prem U-21's into the league? Never in a million years would they ever vote on that since it will push the majority down the pyramid. Conspiracy theories at their best. Reminds me of leftie types telling us what we should think and if we have a different views they result to insults.

I don't think the EFL give a flying F##k what the missing majority think Unless, and until, the missing majority are turning Wembley into an empty echo chamber. It’s the only language they will understand. A Sunderland/Pompey final is going to be just what they would like to see. Sunderland had 14k at their game last night. Reckon they would treble that for a Wembley final. Job done as far as EFL are concerned.

U21s in this trophy is neither here nor there because nobody has ever taken the competition seriously until they've found themselves in the semis anyway. Can somebody give me a link to where it says it is a feeler for dumping U21 teams into Leagues 1 and 2 because I can't find any concrete evidence anywhere, which implies it the usual conjecture becoming truth scenario that football fans are so good at. FWIW, Pep was irritated over not being able to play his U21s against Burton tonight. Maybe it'll all die a natural death and we'll get back to playing in front of a thousand more people next year.

FWIW, Pep was irritated over not being able to play his U21s against Burton tonight. Maybe it'll all die a natural death and we'll get back to playing in front of a thousand more people next year. The Prem proposed B teams in the third tier, which was rejected. Then this tournament format was proposed (ie B-team types in a third tier/fourth tier only tournament). If you don't think there can possibly be any link between the two, then fair enough, that's your thoughts. But the idea that there can't possibly be a link between the two unless someone can post an internet link stating that there is, is obviously wrong. I don't think anyone is saying that it's a conspiracy or there's an ineluctable cause and effect between the two states. But quite clearly, the Prem wanted B teams in the lower leagues, and there's no reason to think they must have changed their minds. And they have B teams playing lower league teams, right now.

Entirely your right to do so. Many thought that U21 teams would never enter lower league competition and the idea of Stoke U21 vs Port Vale or Sunderland vs Newcastle U21 would be a fantasy. It's happened. It's clear that there is a price and with the gap between the Championship and the rest growing, it's massively naive to think clubs wouldn't be open to significant Premier League subsiding if it meant their U21 clubs could play week in and week out to give their youngsters the experience.
