Here's the poster I keep on my wall to inspire me to get through the day.... Quite a piece of memorabilia it is too.... If I was trying to date that unique piece of sporting history, I’d definitely say ‘Higgs era’

Name some realistically we can afford and who would come? Its difficult without knowing who is available and how much they are earning or what we have to spend, but some that have caught my eye recently are Niall Ennis (Wolves), Rushian Hepburn-Murphy (A Villa), Danny Loader (Reading), Aaron Connolly (Brighton), Adam Idah (Norwich), Elias Sorensen (Newcastle), Tyrese Campbell (Stoke), Aldin Turkes (Rapperswil-Jona), Rufat Dadashov (Prussian Munster), Valmir Suljemani (Waldorf Mannheim), Charlie Brown (Chelsea), Daishawn Redan (Chelsea), Ryan Cassidy (Watford), Troy Parrott (Tottenham), Tyreece John-Jules (Arsenal), Folarin Balogun (Arsenal), Sam Greenwood (Arsenal), Bobby Duncan (Liverpool), Paul Glatzel (Liverpool), Ellis Simms (Everton), Keane Lewis-Potter (Hull), Tinashe Chakwana (Burnley), Marcus Forss (Brentford) and Joe Gelhardt (Wigan). Thing is are any of this lot any good, I suppose they may be better than Nichols but that isn't difficult with no league goal in 15 months.

Interesting thread, maybe DC's posters had got dated which in turn lead to our collapse in form. Great to see the new posters have lead to success. Hopefully we can get some good posters for the board room.

The trouble is these same supporters that are quick to call GC the best thing since sliced bread will soon be quick to turn on him if we go and lose 4 in a row. I'm not criticising GC but it's too easy to get carried away at the minute. He's done a good job thus far but we will have a better idea this time next year of just how good a manager he is. Until then, I'll support him and hope for the best. I support who ever our manager is . But all managers have flaws.

Lets be honest whoever is Manager is only as good as their last game and the only thing that is inevitable is that however good a Manager is they will one day be sacked unless they are exceptional. There are many factors that Supporters take into account with any Manager and this will be looked on by them as a basic opinion of a Manager. Some look at the results only whilst personally I go on the type of football I am watching coupled with "reasonable" results. I like the pressurising game whereby we try to get hold of the ball as soon as possible and I see this as the only type of game that gives you a chance if you play a good team. DC's style of play always frustrated me as for my liking we spent too much time with the ball in our half of the pitch but I accepted that his actual record up until about February last year was very very good.
Di I see anything changing greatly about GC? To be honest at this stage it is difficult to tell and the real test for any Manager is when they have their own players which will obviously be in GC's case next season (if he is here then). He will not necessarily be playing his "style of football" at the moment as he pretty well will have to make do with DC's players. His interviews are refreshing especially after the "depressing" interviews DC and MS have delivered this season. He seems a likeable guy but there again so was DC and to be honest at the moment the differences between how we were playing and how we are playing now are not too dissimilar other than a bit more organised and far more consistency in selection with very much the basic principle of if you have the shirt it is yours to lose which I must admit I totally agree with. There of course are those who will be quick to criticise him if this doesn't happen and an example could occur this week in respect of say Tom Broadbent who had a very good game against Northampton but there would be no surprise if Craig returns Saturday. I am sure that all the players will be aware that the consistency and "holding on to the shirt applies to League games and a slightly different philosophy apples to the Checkatrade trophy and rightly so. That is not to say that how well Tom played on Tuesday has not given him a few more arrows to his bow for the future and that maybe under GC he can fulfil his potential.
Only time will tell how good a Manager GC is or will be. If he stays around as long as DC he will have to be a very good Manager because a Manager has to earn the right to Manage a club for that long as I am sure if it was not for DC's success he would have been long gone this season.
Lets be honest GC's task is that much more difficult because I would say he has to keep our status to have a job next season despite the longish contract and he will have to do it with pretty well the tools he has now. Good luck to him and as with every appointment I hope he will be a success and be around a long time. UTG

All quality. 20 youth internationals and 2 full internationals among them.

Like that you mean....?

He's Steven Gerrard's cousin, scored a hatrick against Brazil U16 and is reportedly being watched by Bayern. At Chelsea I've never liked a Redan, but suspect we might pick up Charlie Brown for peanuts.

If it had been AQ era we would have commissioned one of the top toilet sign consultants who had worked with a number of premiership clubs. We'd have paid him a good fee upfront and still ended up with a cleaner writing it on a bit of cardboard with a ballpoint
