It’s strange to think not so long ago he was being interviewed for the Leeds job and now he seems to have slipped from the shop window. I am very interested to see where he goes next.

Stoke must be supremely confident in his ability. As Leeds were with DC and Ipswich with Paul Hurst. A huge step for any Manager IMO coming up from League 1 or 2.

Whilst I love what DC did for us I really do think his stock has reduced over the last season. Surely chairman would have noticed his continued team changes and lack of wins as much as they were aware of his constant wins and promotions. I really cannot see Luton fans being happy with DC being approached let alone appointed after our poor performance at their ground earlier in the season. I really do think he needs to step back and reflect on how much he seemed to have changed in his approach to games following last seasons poor ending.

To be fair it's not even just the lack of wins or team changes. I think a chairman/owners might be a bit more concerned with how he has spoke about the ones at Rovers. Having said that, it will help if the next team he manages, have owners that are more transparent with him.

Does seem like some stoke players really dont give a stuff and have been going through the motions since their relegation. Tough job for nathan jones whose record is similar to dc's when he turned down leeds.

I see what you mean but managers are usually judged on their promotions and relegations first and foremost. Look at Jokanovic, two promotions to the prem and he is on everyone chairman's speed dial list when a Championship job comes up. DC has 2 promotions with us plus his achievements at Salisbury and the only negative the relegation to the conference but that should be overlooked considering it was his first football league job with 8 games to learn the ropes. I suspect his criticism of the owners has probably tarnished his profile somewhat but even then for a man with two promotions to not be highly sought after by the clubs in league two is baffling to say the least.

TBH I think they’ll have a job to find 550 people who want to buy an Apartment in Luton. Absolute sh1t hole.

Be interesting to see if DC is in the frame to replace him. Edit: currently 12/1 First name that sprung to mind for me was Paul Hurst, would imagine he is more likely with the proven success in L1. Not saying he will get it though. Becoming Luton manager now isn't great as they are already massively exceeding expectations so anything less than promotion now, could be unfairly deemed a failure. Yes, agree. Luton have done well but the new guy will have to keep it up as you say. NJ has taken the opportunity to “improve” himself when it presented itself. I wonder if, with hindsight, DC might be pondering upon the Leeds offer in view of what’s happened? Sometimes for managers you have to take the opportunity when it arises, wait and it might not arise again. UTG!

Four promotions in eight seasons as a Manager is a pretty good CV. I doubt there are many more, if any, that could match that.

Yes but seen some of there fans are worried it might not go ahead anyway. As the other things being built to fund it, might be harder to get planning for. We were getting a mem refurbishment and then Uwe, until the situation changed. Until stadiums are built,I don't count them anymore. Things have changed over the last few years. Have Southend's still happening?? This was from yesterday: www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-essex-46786770
Is every new stadium going to look the same apart from the colour of the seats?
