Returned today which is interesting. Hope that doesn't mean we are losing Bonham
Goalkeeper Sam Slocombe has returned to the club following his loan spell at Lincoln City.
Sam moved to Sincil Bank on a temporary basis at the end of last August, to provide support to The Imps number one Josh Vickers.
The stopper's appearances for Lincoln have been limited and confined to cup competitions, with the 30-year old playing just five times - once in the Carabao Cup and four times in the Checkatrade Trophy.
Sam has however played some league football this campaign, as he was between the sticks for Rovers in the opening two games of the season, against Peterborough United and Accrington Stanley.
Everyone at the club wishes Sam a warm welcome back.

Whilst I don't think Slocombe is the answer, I'm a bit surprised by the opinion that Bonham is so good. Earlier in the season I would have agreed but his distribution is pretty poor and he's starting to get beaten by shots that he should be doing far better with imo.

So they don't want him, so now we are stuck with him.

Agree.
Slocombe can't go out on loan again so he'll stay here as number 2. Smith will go.

The sign of a good keeper is not making crucial mistakes. When we needed him most he was keeping us in games. Now the mistakes(If you can really call them that) he is making is when we're 2-0 up in meaningless cup games. I think he's a quality keeper for this level.

I hope not in Bonham's case but he's obviously out of contract in the summer...

That's assuming we can find a club prepared to take Smith, paying Slocombe's contract up so he can drop down to the National league maybe a better option. Not sure where this suggestion that Bonham's making mistakes lately is coming from, I can't recall him making any post GC in the league, it's even that's hard to judge whether last nights was an error from the camera angle.
